I've only used the Ameda Purely Yours and I think it makes soooo much noise! Is your pump loud?

I have a freestyle and I think it's loud. But probably only because I'm so nervous someone will hear it at work!!

Yes. I use to pump and be on conference calls and was totally oblivious that everyone could hear what I was doing until my coworker told me!

I have a freestyle and I don't think it's super loud, but I never pumped anywhere other than at home.

Yep & it talks to me. Today it kept saying "pickles"

Yeah I think mine is. I put the lid over it and it helps muffle it.

@CarrieLouWho: Okay, I'm not the only one that thinks that mine "talks" to me too. I told some friends about that and they looked at me like I was crazy! I'm using a 2007 Medela Pump in Style.

@cascademom - definitely not the only one! I figure I spend so much time with my pump it must be saying something to me

@CarrieLouWho: @cascademom: you are not alone! Mine says all kind of weird things, most commonly "wake up." My sister said hers would say "you suck" :(. She had supply issues.
I use the PISA and its definitely loud.

@Mrs Green Grass: I totally heard "you suck" too... Definitely my insecurity speaking to me through my pump!
I used the pump in style and it is pretty loud. DD imitated the sound when she first saw me using it. Hearing a 3 yr old make pump noises is pretty funny.

The Medela PISA was definitely louder than the Symphony.
