He's dirty all right, but that's because he's playing in the sand, eating and wiping himself on his shirt (egh)

When DD was an infant, yes. Our daycare has a no-shoe policy in the two rooms with crawlers; they provide surgical covers in a basket outside the door for people to put over their shoes however I find most people just take their shoes off and leave them in the hallway (DH can't wear the shoe covers because his feet are too big). I will admit that if I always took my shoes off for drop off in the morning but not always for pick-up at night especially if DD was one of the last to be picked up since they are supposed to mop every night.

Wow, you would majorly get dirty looks if you wore your shoes in the class room at our center. They actually provide those blue net booties if you don't want to remove your shoes.

My LO is a bit grimy but its more because she is a messy eater and always has that runny nose that comes with daycare.
