@Shutterbug: Hi! Doing all right! Much better than immediately after my first cycle. Last time I was crampy and had sharp pains in my abdomen just taking a normal step and I'm feeling perfectly normal now! I was thinking I'll poas next Wed. I want to be prepared to the results since I'll be at work and don't want to lose it there if it's not what I want to hear.

@PurplePumps: Thanks for checking in! Slow and steady still. Had one follicle measuring 13 and then several at 11 and 12 and few more smaller ones. They are having me start the antagon (Ganirelix) tomorrow morning and upping Menopur to two vials tomorrow night. On Sunday, I have another ultrasound at 8:45. Fun fun!

@sarahnicole218: That sounds like some good progress! Good luck tomorrow! I would not be happy having to wake up that early on a Sunday though lol.

So, two follicles were measuring 17 today, with a few 14s and 15s. Dosage is staying the same, 150 of Follistim and 2 vials of Menopur. I'll be back in tomorrow morning at 9:00 for another ultrasound and our pre-op appointment. I guess it still just depends on what everything looks like tomorrow, but egg retrieval will probably be on Wednesday or Thursday at this rate.

@FliegepilzHut: Pretty good...bloated and sick of the injections! But very excited to get this show on the road!

Did you guys have one side respond to stims stronger than the other side? My left side has the larger follicles, my right side is still behind. A random thought crossed my mind...I inject between 8 and 8:30, I am super lame and go to bed around 9:30. I ALWAYS sleep on my left side...do you think that's why it's absorbing more meds? Seems silly to think, but I don't know why else it would be...I alternate sides with my injections.

@sarahnicole218: My entire retrieval was from my left side! Just a few days left!

@PurplePumps: How's your patience holding up? Still planning to POAS on Wednesday? I'm thinking about you!
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@sarahnicole218: First time I was even on both sides, 7 or 8 each. Second time I was all right sided. (8R, 1L). They said it's just pretty random where the follicles happen to develop. lol. I thought about POAS this morning, but I'm gonna hold out till Wed.

Had my last monitoring ultrasond today! I had 8 left (17s, 16s, 15s and 13s) and 5 (15, 14s, 13, 11) right today that were over 10mm. I am taking a bigger dose of Follistim and 2 vials of Menopur tonight and then tomorrow night, I'll be triggering! Egg Retrieval is Thursday morning...don't know exact times yet, but it's happening!! So that's exciting!

@PurplePumps: good luck tomorrow
@sarahnicole218: yay! Good luck with the trigger tonight and ER Thursday!

I am like unnecessarily nervous for my trigger shot! 30 more minutes...I think the anticipation is the worst, but can it just be here and over with already?
@PurplePumps: Thinking of you!

@sarahnicole218: Trigger shot done? Congrats on a shot-free day tomorrow!

@FliegepilzHut: Done! I iced for ten minutes before and didn't even feel it, lol. I am so excited for one shot-free day! Woohoo!

@Shutterbug: @sarahnicole218: Thank, I caved and did one yesterday. Stark white. I was way too depressed yesterday to do it again. Going to just wait until the blood test.
@sarahnicole218: Good luck with the ER tomorrow!!

@sarahnicole218: @Shutterbug: @Mrs. Jacks: @GreenThumb: Thanks ladies. Not knowing right now is better than seeing that BFN. No more POAS for me. Beta is Friday morning. 2 more days.

Hey guys, sorry for being awol. I have been totally disappointed over this whole process again, and took a bit of time to hibernate, especially while on birth control pills to reduce the ovarian cyst that popped up last FET that was cancelled.
The cyst is gone, I stopped the birth control pills on Sunday - yet still no period. My nurse told me that my lining was at 8mm, so I should get a bleed sooner rather than later after stopping the pill - but no period, again.
ABout ready to lose my SHIT, because I just want to get to a freaking transfer already!

Ahh! We've had a scary drive to Iowa City so far! We're almost there, but we've had to go extra slow and almost went off the road because of all of the ice on the Interstate! Ick!
Anyway, random thoughts in the mind of Sarah: I'm hungry, my boobs hurt (nipples specifically), I am nervous about saying silly things coming out of anesthesia, and above all, as much as I've tried to stay positive, I'm expecting something to go wrong...I'll be relieved when we actually get the fertilization report tomorrow...so more waiting!

@sarahnicole218: How far is the drive from home to the clinic? Good luck!!!
persimmon / 1259 posts
@PurplePumps: It is normally about an hour, it took us an hour and a half today...but we're here!

@sarahnicole218: Good luck! LOL @ saying funny things after anesthesia... after my first ER I kept saying "You people are so nice. Everyone here is so nice" over and over. I knew I was saying it but I couldn't stop myself! I heard the nurse tell DH when they brought him back that I was feeling very happy, haha.

So, I really hate that I jinxed myself or something, but my ER was NOT a good experience. I went in feeling fine, not too nervous, the prep went quickly and I feel asleep in the OR easily. However, when I was waking up in recovery, I was in a LOT of pain. The doctor came in and said that he nicked a blood vessel trying to receive some of the eggs on my right side. So he had to stitch my ovary to prevent internal bleeding. I only had 9 eggs retrieved and luckily, all 9 were mature. I'll find out today how many fertilized.
Anyway, I was in a ton of pain, the codeine did nothing for me so they had to use morphine...which led to a crazy hot flash and some crying. I did eventually feel less pain, but then, as I tried to sit up and stand up, my blood pressure dropped crazy low and I had to lay down again. My retrieval was at 8:30, because of the nicked blood vessel, it took a little longer than normal. They had to take blood samples several times to make sure I didn't have internal bleeding...it was ridiculous and a little scary. I wasn't discharged until 1:30 or so.
I feel a little better this morning, definitely still crampy, and sorry TMI, constipated! And now, of course, I'm just anxiously waiting the fertilization report and whether it will be a Day 3 or Day 5 transfer.

@sarahnicole218: I'm so sorry you went through that! How scary! I hope that you can just put this part behind you and look forward to an easy transfer! I hope you get a great fert report!
(Off topic, but what is the deal with Iowa weather? It always seems so much worse than just across the river into Illinois! The other day we had the worst trip home from Galena through Iowa and as soon as we crossed back into IL it was better. It was always like that when I was in school in the Quad Cities too. Ugh! Glad you made it to IC ok though!)

@twodoghouse: Haha, right?! Iowa is so weird! I love it here, but I am so ready for spring! Thanks for the well wishes!
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@sarahnicole218: oh my goodness. I'm so sorry the ER didn't go as smoothly as anticipated! I think the constipated is anesthesia after effects, I had it bad too the first time. Hope to hear a great fert report later!
AFM...Dropped in for a quick blood draw this morning. Results anywhere between 12 and 3 usually.... had some pink spotting this morning when I wiped.. so not feeling too hopeful.
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@sarahnicole218: that is so scary. Did they say that there will be no adverse effects on your ability to conceive in the future? I'd be so pissed! I've never heard of that happening.
persimmon / 1259 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: Yeah, the doctor specifically said he was not worried about my fertility or being able to continue with this cycle...but yeah, I'm a little pissed!
