@GreenThumb: Phew, I'm glad your meds are coming. x
These cycles with progynova are WEIRD. No monitoring or bloods yet... so I feel like I'm floating along with no real purpose. That lining better be building up!!! I have my appt with scan/bloods for the 12th March (CD14) and they said my lining needs to be >8mm to proceed planning a transfer. So that's all I'm praying for!

@GreenThumb: Hooray for your meds arriving! Have fun in FL! Where will you be going?
@sarahnicole218: Hang in there, lady!
When will you test?
@jaguar: Slow & steady... FX you get some very good news soon!

@jaguar: Praying for you!!
@Fliegepilzhut: At this point, I'm planning not to test at all. Just going to try to hold out for my beta, which is March 13th...Friday the 13th!

I'm going crazy...I bought FRERs yesterday. I swore to myself I wasn't going to test before beta day (Friday the 13th), yet there I went and bought those pee sticks. I'm only 5dp5dt today, and I sat on the toilet debatting before I finally just went pee...so I fought the urge to test today. But talk me off the ledge ladies, how will I make it until Friday?!

@jaguar: I hope things are progressing well!
@sarahnicole218: Still resisting the urge to poas? you're so funny! now that you bought them, how can you resist. Take them back and return them! haha
persimmon / 1259 posts
@PurplePumps: Lol, I know! I just think I have to test. I'm driving myself nuts and waiting until Friday is just not realistic. But I do need to mentally prepare myself for the results either way...so maybe tomorrow or Wednesday morning?
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@sarahnicole218: I would/did test the day or so before my beta! The suspense was killing me...
persimmon / 1259 posts
@FliegepilzHut: It IS killing me, but I also don't know what to expect. It's probably too early to have symptoms, yet I'm symptom spotting like a mad woman. I think I just need to know before I have a complete breakdown. Haha!
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@sarahnicole218: FYI-- I'm pretty sure I had NO symptoms whatsoever with either of my IVF/FET 's... FX super-hard for you!!!
persimmon / 1259 posts
@FliegepilzHut: Thanks for telling me about your lack of symptoms...I'll hold on to a little bit of hope. I swear I had cramping (like twinges) 2dp5dt-4dp5dt and then slight nauseau 5dp5dt...and now, nothing. No tender Bbs, no continual cramping, no nauseau, just kind of tired.
I'm at least waiting for tomorrow to test, but I feel somewhat less optimistic. So who knows, I might just wait for the beta.

@sarahnicole218: I don't think you're supposed to have continual cramping with a bfp, and the nausea isn't supposed to hit until you're a bit further along (like 6-weeks plus I believe). For me, the tender boobs didn't hit until a bit later too. So don't count yourself out yet!
It's really hard to get a negative on the phone, so I definitely think it's good if you at least test the morning of the beta, just in case. Fingers crossed!
persimmon / 1259 posts
@momazon: That's a good point, I might do that. I'm definitely trying not count myself out, it's just challenging!
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@sarahnicole218: Hang in there lady! It's good to be "prepared"...but you're definitely not out of the running yet!

What possessed me to test on my lunch break?! And I hate blue dye tests, but didn't want to waste an FRER on a mid-day sample. I just can't even believe it. I can't trust it until tomorrow morning with FRER...but wow.

@sarahnicole218: YAY!!! Anticipating a gorgeous line in the morning!

I just heard back from my doc and there's a plan in place for another round. She wants me to start taking coq10 to see if that helps with the eqq quality issue. (I hate that term "egg quality issue".. it's just so blah to me.). For those who took that, what dosage did you take?
Then we'll be doing the lurpon protocol again (yay, 2x daily injectionsss, bleh). Starting at 200iu (up from 150 - seems kind of high to me though. First time they had me start at 225 and said that was too much. I'll have to ask about that again next time I talk to her). Growing follicles to 20-22 instead of 16-18 that they were looking for before... and doing retrieval 38 hrs after trigger. So many little tweaks.. I feel like such a science experiment.

@PurplePumps: I hate that there are so many unknowables until you've done a round (or 2)... Hopefully this will be THE ONE for you!!!
What's your timeline look like?
honeydew / 7916 posts
@PurplePumps: Jumping in from lurkdom...did your doctor mention the ubiquinol form at all? I took ubiquinol because supposedly it's more effective for egg quality. I think I took this though I can't remember how much:
http://www.amazon.com/Jarrow-Formulas-Ubiquinol-QH-Absorb-Count/dp/B004VCOOUU/ref=sr_1_2?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1426011696&sr=1-2&keywords=ubiquinol
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@PurplePumps: I took CoQ10 for awhile (ubiquinol actually). It didn't seem to help my egg quality (3 chemicals afterward) and it gave me bad GI upset at the recommended doses (600 mg daily). I ended up only being able to tolerate 400.
The supplement I liked the best was Inositol. I still take that one when I remember. It's supposed to even out blood glucose.

@Mrs. Jacks: Oh jeebus that is a lot! No, I definitely didn't take that much!
(BTW I was also taking wheatgrass, fish oil, quatrefolic and methyl B12, and that whole bit.)
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@spaniellove: it was the recommended intake from the IVF studies.
My list included: ubiquinol, fish oil, vitamin D, vitamin B12, melatonin, multivitamin and inositol. I also tried to maintain a low inflammatory diet with whole foods and lots of greens, fish and only complex carbs.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: That reminds me, it was around then I got into the habit of taking vitamin D gummies and calcium, only because with DOR it becomes really important to step up your intake.

@FliegepilzHut: Thanks! I wanted to start stims in about 2.5 weeks, just trying to time for when DH gets back from a business trip. But have to double check how long she wants me on these supplements before starting. I'm skeptical that it can really do much in 2-3 weeks time.
@spaniellove: ooh, I haven't heard of that and she didn't mention it. I'm going to send a msg to the office and ask about that.
@Mrs. Jacks: oh my goodness! so many supplements out there! my head is spinning! Is this supposed to be like coq and Ubiquinol too?
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@PurplePumps: I reviewed all the literature on improving egg quality and then picked the supplements with the best evidence base. CoQ10 basically equals ubiquinol. Ubiquinol is the bioactive form.
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@PurplePumps: Good to have a few things tweaked - let's hope they make all the changes. Your cycle sounds a lot like mine. 200 dose, lucrin, plus coq10 + the longer trigger. xxx
@sarahnicole218: Congrats! xx
Scan tomorrow for this lining... so nervous I could puke.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@PurplePumps: I think the vitamin D and calcium are for your own long-term personal health, because the time spent with less exposure to estrogen and protective hormones can take a toll on your bones, heart, etc.
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@spaniellove: there's actually a new evidence link with Vitamin D and egg health if I remember correctly. I stopped researching all this stuff in November when we matched with Theo.

There is a bad shadow from my giant phone, but you guys!! Still in disbelief, but DH saw these tests with me! Beta is Friday, so it will probably feel more real then, but wowza.
Thank you all for the advice and support and friendship, you made this IVF process much less stressful.

@sarahnicole218: Those are great looking lines! Congrats on a successful cycle/transfer!!!
@jaguar: Thinking of you lady! Even if it's not perfect today (though I bet it will be), they'll just be dosing you for a few extra days.
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@sarahnicole218: Congratss!!
Are you going to keep POAS to watch it get darker now? hhehe
persimmon / 1259 posts
@PurplePumps: Lol, probably. Nothing like unnecessarily spending bunches of money on tests I don't need. I really do need a digital though...I just want to see "pregnant!"
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@sarahnicole218: lol, but it'd be so fun to keep seeing the lines show up!
So I'm one click away from buying flights for Paris in May and scheduling a cycle in April. I'm trying to time it so that my beta is a week to week and half before the trip (so that if it doesn't work, AF won't be coming on the trip with me), but if it does work... that'd make me about 5.5-6w, would there be any reason why I couldn't or shouldn't go during that time? I just asked my doc, so I'm waiting for her response too.
