12 eggs! So I guess the same as the ones we had seen all the past week. Found out the reason I've been so beyond uncomfortable. I had 400cc of fluid inside that my RE had to drain during the surgery. My stomach is like 1/3 the size now and I feel like 1000x better already!! That fluid is an issue I've had on and off the last few years from adhesions for so many surgeries. Anyway, so we got 12. Wait and see what happens. Husband is picking up salty Chinese food right now for lunch. Can't wait.

Well AF finally showed up last night! Feels so strange to be excited about that....Anyway, another couple cancelled their September cycle so they moved ours up to the week of September 15th for retrieval. I had this really weird reaction to that. I was happy, and scared/upset at the same time. I know it sounds crazy but I wanted as much time as I could have to lose a little more weight, but I guess 2 weeks isn't that much difference. I'm happy to have solid plans though at least!

@Jenn23: congrats!! Glad you found the cause of all that discomfort, too!

@Jenn23: Congrats on the 12, and so glad they could make you more comfortable! FX for tomorrow's report!

@Jenn23: So glad it went well! 12 is great. You must feel so much better without that worthless 400 cc's Hoping for healthy eggys!
@Sunshine1810: YAY she is finally here! It seems like no matter how long you have waited the start of an IVF cycle can feel like it creeps up once you get closer.
@mrswin: glad your cramping! Thats a good sign!
nectarine / 2433 posts
@Mrs.Pinecone316: Thanks for the encouragement. I am not feeling good about it because it has been happening since Thursday and it feels a lot like the cramping I get leading up to AF because of the endo
nectarine / 2433 posts
@momazon: Yeah I guess it is possible...hadn't really considered that.
persimmon / 1316 posts
@mrswin: Well hopefully its implantation cramping! I have had some on and off cramps too but like you my endo is always responsible for that sort of thing so I am not reading too much into it.
honeydew / 7230 posts
@mrswin: I had persistent, painful cramping during my TWW of my successful IVF cycle! It was just those embryos getting really good and implanted in there. Fingers crossed for you!
persimmon / 1085 posts
@mrswin: I agree it could be from the hormones!! Or just early baby twinges. Try not to worry!!
GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts
@Jenn23: awesome!
@mrswin: I am 98% certain that I had cramping too.
nectarine / 2433 posts
@Mrs.Pinecone316: @twodoghouse: @swedishfish: Its nice to know that this could be normal.
@Jenn23: 8 fertilized sounds great! Are you planning for a day-5 transfer?
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@Jenn23: Grow LO's, grow!!! How do these numbers compare with your first cycle?
@mrswin: I'm staying very hopeful for you. In my (albeit limited) experience, cramping is a good thing!
FX!!!
@Sunshine1810:
@Mrs.Pinecone316: Is your test coming up this week? How are you doing?
persimmon / 1085 posts
@Sunshine1810: I'm so glad AF showed up and that you can start the next IVF cycle earlier!
@mrswin: Hoping for a 5 day like last time. We'll know more tomorrow and they will make the decision on Day 3, Monday morning. I still am thinking your cramping is a good sign!!
@FliegepilzHut: Almost identical numbers with this cycle compared to our first. Both were 9 days stimming, last cycle 8 out of 13 fertilized and now with this one 8 out of 12 fertilized. Still thinking of you and hope you are doing OK.
So I'm feeling a million times better than before the retrieval now. That fluid and perhaps the follicles really did a number on me! All the bloating pretty much gone, I can bend and twist and am not hobbling. Feeling great today! Lots of energy, too!
So my husband and I went out on a lunch date today and walking back to the car I saw a head's up penny in the parking lot and got so excited and picked it up. I haven't seen one in so long and don't usually subscribe to "good luck" symbols, etc. but for some reason this one got to me. I'm like, "This has to mean something and be a good sign!!" My husband was cracking up because I was just so darn excited about it.

@Jenn23: great news!! Hoping they grow like good little embries Love the penny story!
@FliegepilzHut: I am doing good! Working this whole weekend is keeping me busy. My beta is wednesday. Haven't decided when I will POAS yet. Earliest monday, latest wednesday.
@mrswin: Are you still waiting until Monday to POAS?
@momazon: How about you? When are you POAS? Is your beta thur?
nectarine / 2433 posts
@Jenn23: FX for a good report today! Love the lucky penny story, I think that it is a great sign for you
@Mrs.Pinecone316: Yep I am waiting for tomorrow to POAS, I am terrified to do it but at the same time I want to know what to expect from the beta. How are you doing? Are you planning to POAS?
kiwi / 613 posts
@Mrs.Pinecone316: My Beta's not till NEXT Monday(but I'll probably go Sunday instead)-- my clinic schedules them for 18 days past retrieval. Crazy! I'm hoping to hold out until Friday/Saturday to test. I want to get a definitive pos/neg as that's less stressful to me than testing early and often.
Good luck tomorrow @mrswin!

@mrswin: Good luck with your test tomorrow!! Fingers crossed!!! I'm so excited for you!!!
Good report today: One 5 cell, six 4 cells and one 2 cell. So 7 are pretty darn good so far. We are probably going to have a 5 day, but we are tentatively scheduled for tomorrow morning in case it is necessary. Our RE didn't want to make the decision today, so the embryologist will talk to him tomorrow morning at 6:45 am and he will make the decision. Only catch is my husband and I have a one hour commute there and need to leave before we will find out. So it is likely we will get the call, turn around and come home. Our RE had to schedule the transfer early in the morning, so that's why it will be such a strange situation. Going to be an interesting morning. Need a babysitter here (my mom) bright and early so we can be on the road early just to turn around and come back. It's just so funny. We are thinking he will say go for day 5, though. I hope so! That's what we did last time.

@momazon: My clinic does 16 day betas and I couldn't hold out last time for that long either!
@Mrs.Pinecone316: Hope your dog is better and you are feeling good!!

Well Ladies.... I broke down and tested @ 6dp5dt and I got a faint !! I seriously can't believe it. I know we have a long ways to go to be out of the woods yet but just seeing that second line for the first time ever was pretty surreal. Hoping tomorrows is darker! Just thanking God so much today.

@momazon: 18 days wait?! Yikes! Well good thing for hpt Yeah I went back and forth on whether to test easily or not. Until then enjoy being Pregnant until proven otherwise

@Mrs.Pinecone316: Yay! That's great news! FX for darker lines tomorrow and a good beta Wednesday!
@mrswin: Excited to hear about your test tomorrow!
@Jenn23: Looking good! Please keep us posted!
@momazon: I think my clinic does 17 days post-retrieval (so 12 days post 5 day transfer)... It goes by quickly, if you can stay distracted for the first week-- but I can't imagine not testing before a beta! FX for you, too!
