Thank you so much, ladies! Feeling more hopeful
@ash, maybe try catching up on a show you always wanted to watch but never did! Hulu and Amazon have great streaming services, and the Amazon one has tons of free shows and movies if you are already a "Prime" member. Or, if you're not much of a TV/movie person, you could find some fun and easy craft or cooking projects on Pinterest. Just beware of the temptation to pin a bazillion "baby" things (a trap I've fallen into more than I care to admit!)
Hang in there and good luck!!!

@Ash: During my TWW I read this website a lot and it was actually really entertaining: http://www.twoweekwait.com/early-pregnancy-symptoms
Some of the symptoms people discuss are actually symptoms, but I remember some women listing "my diet coke tasted like hairspray" and "I cried to songs on the radio" as symptoms. It just made me laugh. Good luck!!

@Ash: next time you update the list, can you change my POAS day to the 20? Thanks!

@Ash: hmmm and TWW distractions? What about planning a weekend trip or vacation for the spring? Something non-baby to google

@Ash: hahaha okay let's do it!! Not going to lie - ill probably cave Thursday! 12 dpo should be a relatively reliable date?

Looks like I'm having a longer than normal cycle and my O date was actually cd21, @ash can you put me down on your next list for poas this Thurs. 1/10? Thanks!

@fussygal: yay! Another Thursday POASer...hopefully the 10th is a day for lots of BFPs!
I was an emotional BASKET CASE last night. I couldn't stop crying- full out sobs, ugly cry. DH was so sweet and started showing me pictures of our hilarious dog to cheer me up. I then started laughing uncontrollably while still crying??!! This is so not like me. DH mentioned maybe its preg hormones?? Either that or a wicked case of pms! Most months I get no symptoms.
From what Dr Google has told me (and everyone knows he's oh so scientific), I could possibly expect a BFP today with my dip I has 2 days ago. I'm trying to hold strong and wait until Thurs! I really don't want to waste the $$, as well as see a stark white BFN if its still too early.
Happy Monday everyone!!

Happy Monday! I know this week is going to be killer...
First and foremost, HOLY SORE BOOBS, BATMAN! For an A/AA cup, these things are killing me! I've resorted to wearing sportsbra to work because any jiggle is pretty painful. If this is PMS than it is surely the worst I've ever had.
Today makes it 11DPO for me. Last month I was testing daily at this point, but this time around I'm waiting (as much for my benefit as it is smart). DH is super stressed out, working on a commissioned work that is due the 15th. I know that if I DID get a BFP in the next few days one of two things would happen: 1) If I told him it would be a huge distraction and might affect him finishing or 2) It would be the most insanely difficult secret to keep ever... and I am a terrrrrrible liar.
...so waiting it is
Good luck to everyone testing this week!! And I know it's a bit belated, but congrats @futuremama!!

Thanks for the help ladies. I can do this!
@MamaMagpie: We don't have cable so there aren't even any shows I could think of watching. I wanted to bake... but I always lick the bowl and that'd be frowned upon during the tww so I'm not even going to put myself in that situation LOL!
@lawbee11: I've already been on that site a bazillion times the past few days. I don't want it to give me false hope... because then I google more symptoms.
@runnerd: We do plan on doing a small getaway this summer... Maybe I'll start looking into locations. Any ideas?? We cancelled our honeymoon to Jamaica last month so we could put the money towards building our garage so somewhere in the US and warm.
@char54: I'll change you to Thursday. I work so I'm still going to wait until Friday. Good luck!! That dip sounds promising! Eeeeeee!
@thismustbetheplace: I'm an impatient person as it is.... This is only our 3rd tww and I didn't think I'd be crazy AGAIN but I am!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@marionberry: That's why i'm hesitant to even think about calling the doctor b/c we actually have had a pregnancy before..but it feels like we've been trying forever!
@thismustbetheplace: Fingers crossed for you!!

Gosh, so many people testing on 1/31!!
I've been so relaxed this month, but yesterday or today is O day, and I can feel the crazy coming on strong!! At least we are going out of town all weekend which will be a distraction.
@thismustbetheplace: I'm planning to follow suite with you - last month I started testing at 7 DPO (I know I know) but I'm trying to wait til at least 11 or 12 this time. Definitely sounds like you have some good motivators to hold out, good luck!
@Ash: hmmm where you live at? I'm in the south, so Florida is our go to, and Destin is the best, beautiful beaches!
honeydew / 7909 posts
@runnerd: the 14th and 31st are the big testing days!! We live in Iowa and we've been looking into Florida, actually. I've read good things about Destin. maybe I'll start looking at hotels now... since I am totally on google.

@thismustbetheplace: Those sound like good reason to wait, but it does sound like good symptoms!
@runnerd: @Ash: I am in north FL and Destin is beautiful. Southwest flies into PCB now too!

@Thehistoryofus: @runnerd: I don't wanna hijack the poas thread, but any recommendations for nice hotels?? :))
grapefruit / 4311 posts
@Ash: haha, yea I thought I might be crossing the line when i started posting Florida pics condo is the way to go! You can find condos on beach for as cheap or cheaper than hotel if you search enough. When we went last fall, we had a 2 bdrm condo for $500 for 4 nights

@Thehistoryofus: @runnerd: thank you ladies! This should satisfy me for the next couple of days! :))

@mrstiz:You should go whenever you feel like going. I would give it a little time (I know..who ever wants to hear that?!) and if you aren't pregnant again soon then I'd go see an RE. Maybe 2-3 cycles? Many women who miscarry end up pregnant again soon afterward but others like @ladybee: have a miscarriage and track their cycles only to find out there are other issues at play. So do what you feel is right. REs love to see patients, regardless of what stage they're in (ie how many months you've been trying). OB's not so much in my experience.

IT'S POSITIVE!!! BFP FOR ME!!! I really want to go home and POAS this afternoon just so I can see that second line I've always wanted to see but the blood hCG came back positive! So happy!

Thanks everybody! It took 10 cycles, but our first IUI wins the day! I always watched these boards and congratulated other mommas but I don't think I ever thought it would be me who'd be congratulated. Feels so weird! Just so happy! And the lady on the phone probably thought I was crazy just saying "great" when she said I was pregnant because I was at work and didn't want people to know what was going on.
