@char54 oooh, good luck! That story about your phone made me laugh, I'm super paranoid that someone will see my FF app on my iPhone, too!

@char54: sorry, but that was funny. I just have the fertility friend app on my iPhone. But it is on the very last screen and password protected. And no one is allowed to touch my phone.

@fussygal: @MrsCastro: lol it's funny now but DH said my face was SO RED in the moment...he said I was oozing guilt

I still have no idea how it happened - I have all my TTC apps hidden in a "work" folder on my phone - somehow every single app from my phone downloaded itself onto my dads iPad!

Almost embarrassing as when songza posted on my Facebook : "Char54 is now listening to Freak Nasty playlist" ...I had no idea it was linked to my account!!

I really need to get better at this tech stuff, ha!

@char54: Haha!!!!!!!! Those stories made made me giggle! My friend caught her boyfriend cheating with his ex because his bike has a GPS device to track his training, that posts itself to Facebook. She saw that he rode to his ex's house, stopped for a few hrs then rode home! What a spanner!

@char54: hahha to both the TTC app sync and freak nasty playlist!! I haaate how every app tries to post things to Facebook!

I am so not good in awkward situations! I would never been able to cover up the TTC app reason - way to go to your sis haha

Hmmm just took a OPK this morning and if it isn't positive, then it's on the brink. According to my tracking app, I should get my first positive tues and ovulate wed. So yay! If the OPK is positive like I think, I'm looking at a 34 day cycle instead of 36 #hatemylongcycles

Maybe my dieting and exercise this week is paying off?

@char54: I have a pregnancy app on my phone cuz I'm a weirdo... and I'm always afraid someone will see that and assume I'm KU... which I guess would be the appropriate thing to assume. HA! Kudos to your sister for covering your butt!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand the symptom spotting has begun. 5 days til test day. I can do this!

@runnerd: oooooooo! good luck!! fingers crossed!

EDIT: My chest feels like it was used as a punching bag... sooooo sore!

@char54: bwahaha to the play list post. There are ways to turn apps off so they don't post on your timeline.

Ok ladies I think I'm ready to join now that I've O'd!

    Current Cycle Day: 17

Ovulation Date: I ovulated (I think) on CD 14 or 1/3/13

POAS date/Usual Cycle Length: FF says January 17th so I'll probably start January 14th. My cycles are super inconsistent due to recently diagnosed PCOS.

Cycles trying: Um I've lost track. I think 8? It'll be a year in February and we suffered a mc in May.

BD timing: EOD but the RE says we can do EOD or ED starting CD 11.

Favorite Moment from 2012: If I'm being honest, 2012 was horrible and filled with loss.

Resolutions for POAS: I will trust my RE and have faith in his plan and confidence!

@cherrybee woah - that is crazy! Sometimes technology can be out greatest friend and worst enemy! HAha, serves him right.

    @ladybee Good luck!

@ash Yay for sore boobs! Lol

@ladybee: what is your RE's plan? Fingers crossed extra hard for you!

  18. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@happygal: I am to take Clomid (or Fermara) for 6 cycles, this is my second. If by the end of my third cycle we are not pregnant than I will do a HSG and DH will do SA. He said he can almost guarentee that we will be pregnant by the end of 6 cycles. He said he would be surprised if I end up needing the HSG and SA but I don't feel as confident as him. I, however, was very pleasently suprised that I O'd on CD 14

  19. mlm2934

    grapefruit / 4311 posts

@ladybee: i'm sure it's harder to have confidence for you than your doc, but cd 14 has to be a confidence booster!! sounds like a great plan!

@Runnerd: You're right, yesterday I was on cloud 9 that I ovulated on CD 14 but today I am over analyzing our BD schedule, use of preseed, and everything else under the sun. I need to adopt his confidence!

Five days from expected AF/POAS date and I'm feeling crampy...like, period crampy Has anyone else experienced that and still gotten a BFP?

I'm not getting my hopes up...I knew it was extremely unlikely to have success on the first try, but I was hoping we'd be in that small percentage of those who do!

    Fingers crossed...

  24. fussygal

    pomegranate / 3580 posts

@mamamagpie Don't count yourself out yet! Not to be a symptom spotting enabler, but it could be implantation cramps. some people say they feel like AF.

Thanks @fussygal Haha I love "symptom spotting enabler"!
I'll keep thinking positive (pun intended lol) until it's time to test.

@MamaMagpie: I've had cramping in BFN cycles (usually anywhere past 7dpo) but cramping is still a symptom in BFP cycles too, so anything is possible! Good luck!

@MamaMagpie: I had some AF like cramps at 9 DPO and periodically after that. I thought AF was definitely on its way, but I got a BFP. Don't count yourself out yet!

For fun, I put my last period in a due date calculator and it gave me my birthday as my predicted due date! has to be a good sign right, haha. (Of course it's later if I use my expected O date, but still)

@char54: props to your sister, I would have been mortified. Freak nasty, huh? Lol!

Random question- how long would everyone TTC naturally without going to a doctor for fertility tests?

I talked to my sister today and confessed - she told me she figured I must be TTC and covered for me..gotta love her

@MrsTiz: LOL try Freak Nasty out next BD.... so wrong...but so right ;)!!

As to your Q - I struggle with how long I would wait. I know you are supposed to wait a year since we are both young (under 30) but there's no way I would wait that long. I think since because I've been charting and reading up on it, I would hope it would happen by 6 months. If not, I would go to the Dr.

My friend went to the dr after 6 months though and he told her to not even talk to him about it until 1 year. She has a family history (mother, sisters) of infertility and he still wouldn't even talk about it. I would be a LOT more forceful - but thankfully I go to a different dr!!

I am now 8DPO and it's KILLING ME not to test. The only thing holding me back is that the watch I ordered for DH is only going to be in on Wednesday and I couldn't keep a secret that long. I have no idea if I'm pregnant or not...I had a really promising possible implantation dip yesterday but since then have had no real symptoms.

Here's my chart in case anyone has any insights!!

@MrsTiz: I went 9 cycles before going to the RE. I thought it was premature, but when we spoke with the doctor he said that as you get to 10 cycles plus, your fertility chances go down significantly. I would recommend you try to get some preliminary testing done at your OB's office first though, especially because he/she might be able to code it to something other than fertility to get insurance to cover it. CD3 blood testing is a big one, and will tell you a lot! Have you tried charting? It can tell you a lot too. You got pregnant once though, so that's a really good sign.

@MrsTiz: DH and I started trying last Feb and got pregnant on the third cycle (in May). I miscarried in June. We continued to try right away. I guess it was another 5 months. I saw the doctor in Dec. she basically said that she wasn't concerned since we'd made a baby once and my cycles were regular with no medical concerns. She humored me with 7 dpo progesterone testing,, which came back normal. I got my BFP a week later. If you are concerned, I would call, but be prepared for them to tell you that you may have to wait.

Alright ladies. I need some distractions. I'm off work tomorrow and Tuesday and I can't stop googling 7dpo symptoms. My boobs are so sore - not a normal pms symptom. I don't get pms symptoms actually. I took a nap today, have been crampy for a few days and my chocolate milk tasted awful this am (dh said it treated normal). I have 2 days that I need distractions for. I work Wednesday and Thursday and I'll test Friday. How will I get thru this? It's driving me crazy!

@Ash: Eeep!! We must be POAS date twins b/c I've been googling 8DPO symptoms all day!! lol!

I've been reading "Two Week Wait" - it's a really good book and ironically has been (somewhat) taking my mind off things!

Other than that I've been meal planning/cooking/grocery shopping for the week to try and distract me.

Crazy that this time next week I will either know if I'm knocked up or have to keep on trying next month!

@char54: eek! I'm in charge of the list and have myself down as Thursday and you down as the 13th. Let's poas together Friday. Well, not TOGETHER... lol!
Tomorrow I'll do some laundry and clean. In between google I'm sure!
