Hi all - Do any of you California bee's happen to know what type of breast pump Kaiser covers? All I can find online is that they provide the "base product" (whatever that might be). I can ask my Dr., but my next appt is not for another 3 weeks or so, and was hoping one of you might know.

@MrsBeluga: I'm not in CA but you should be able to call insurance or a local breastfeeding supply store to find out.

I only qualified for a manual pump for my first and second so I didn't bother. My husband's KP insurance changed and I got an Ameda for my third LO.

@autumnlove: thank you! I had blue shield last time and they provided an ameda, thinking of just getting a medala this time and just paying out of pocket for it. Would be awesome if it was covered though!

We have GroupHealth, which was recently acquired by Kaiser. I was approved for a Medela Pump in Style.

I had Kaiser with my first 2 years ago and all they gave me was a medela manual pump, and I had really rich plan.
