We couldn't go out last night, so DH and I are going to a nice dinner tonight. We asked our babysitter to come at 5. Should we leave her with an extra $20 to get some food delivered, or assume she's already eaten?
Just as an FYI we typically pay about $15/hr (this is a daycare teacher, not a teenager) and we'll be gone from 5-10.

Do you have food in the houses? Easy stuff like sandwich stuff or freezer meals? If you have anything like that I'd probably text her and tell her just fyi there is some easy dinner stuff like sandwiches here or you're welcome to bring something for yourself.

For that time frame I'd expect to feed the babysitter, either by offering her food in the house or leaving pizza money.
ETA I just realized it's an adult, not a kid. In that case I'm not sure but I think Mae's idea is good and she can either take you up or bring her own dinner.

How old is your sitter? If it's a teenager I'd probably leave pizza money, but for an adult, I'd assume they would plan ahead. You could always just get a frozen pizza at the store and let her know she's welcome to it.
ETA: Just saw that it's a daycare teacher. Meh, I'd do the store pizza or just let her know she's welcome to whatever she wants from the fridge.

It's nice but not necessary! Our sitter always showed up at 4:30 with her own fold, unless I knew ahead of time I was ordering her and LO pizza

I always make sure to provide dinner one way or another. Pizza money is good. So is a frozen pizza, sandwiches, whatever.
