I turn 28 next week and DH is 30. We live in a far removed suburban town in Texas of about 189,000 people. I am a middle school teacher. DH works out of town all week so I fly solo 4-5 or more nights a week. We have a 13 week old son. We got married in 2009 in Las Vegas and I used to creep Wb but never posted. I came across HB in February after I had a major SCH or twin m/c (we will never know) only two days after I found out I was pg at 10 weeks. hB is an amazing network of support! Oh yes, and I am formerly lydg.

I managed to miss this thread somehow, anyways wonderful to learn a bit about everyone - great idea @bao:! You all have such beautiful families.

I have been a member of HB for a couple of months now. I was an avid reader (AKA lurker) beginning around our BFP, which was in June. I dabbled a little on WB but wasn't very active, I did find it very helpful while planning our wedding!

I think I am the only Manitoban on WB! I am 30 and currently growing our first LO at 29 weeks today. (SO excited to be a Mama!) DH is 37, we are both Realtors and recently celebrated our 1st anniversary in October. We have two fur babies, a 10 year old fawn Pug and an almost 11 month old blue Great Dane - they make us laugh daily!

I thoroughly enjoy the community here, it's been a blessing through out my pregnancy. I look forward to getting to know you all better.

@ms.janedoe: Thank you!! She is my dream dog! She definitely does leave slobber everywhere lol. Her giant jowls seem to hold half a gallon of water in them after she's done drinking. I am sorry to hear hear you had a bad experience with adopting/fostering. I didn't know of anywhere that rescued Dane's and thought selfishly, that I would like to raise her from baby. Wanted to have a handle on things with her before we brought a LO into this crazy world! I hope you have a chance to have another one day, they truly are one of a kind.

@mrskc: omgosh, now that I see your husband, I realize your son looks just like daddy, especially in that Thanksgiving photo!

@Alivoo01: I'm really late to this thread, but I just read your post about owning a donut shop AND a farm. I'm so intrigued, because my dream is to buy some land and have a little farm. Also, my husband and I have been entertaining the idea of starting a donut shop/truck. We live near Asheville and there are no artisan donut places here, that I know of (just Krispy Kreme and Dunkin' Donuts). I'd love to know how that's going for you!

This is such a fun thread! Even though I'm not a super active poster, I've been reading almost daily since the site was in beta. Once we start TTC this spring, hopefully I'll have more to contribute.

I used to be pretty active a few years ago on weddingbee, and got married about 2.5 years ago to my best friend. I am 30 and my husband is 31, and we live in North Carolina. I work in marketing and he's in engineering, and we both love home renovations, travel (when we can afford it!), and unwinding from work in front of the TV.

Hopefully in the not too distant future I'll have cute baby photos to share, but we are still a couple of months away from pulling the goalie.

I just joined today so I thought I'd say hi!

Hi, I'm Anna I'm 23 and live in Toronto with my fiancé and 2 month old daughter. We're both engineers, I'm on mat leave until September, and are loving this whole new parenting thing!

I came across WB when planning a wedding for this past summer. Then surprise! I got pregnant. So we pushed back the wedding till next May and in the mean time I discovered the wonderful community on WB and later HB.

I've lurked a whole bunch throughout my pregnancy and have finally decided to join in the fun

I'm 26, and my husband and I got married 4 years ago on the beach in Florida. It was such a fun evening -- I wish I could do it all over again every year!

We've moved around a lot over the last 4 years. Originally from MS, we moved to Denver, then to TN, then to NC. We currently live about an hour away from Asheville. Living in different places has been fun, but we're hoping to be somewhere more permanent soon. Our dream is to buy a few acres of land and build a tiny house.

We have two cats and a chocolate lab pup. We love our animals!

We wanted to wait a little while before TTC, but I accidentally got pregnant this past February. Unfortunately, it ended up being a chemical pregnancy. It made us realize, though, that we were definitely ready to start trying for a baby. I got pregnant again in April and this time it stuck! I'm now 33 weeks along with our babe (Team Green!), and I'm so excited to have this baby in my arms very soon.

That said... I've been a member of HB for just over a year. My husband and I are 28 year old. We've been married for four years and had our first LO in May. Lucas is now six months old.

I'm currently on mat leave and spend my days going to play dates, crafting and cooking. I return to work as an environmental engineering consultant next June.
