LO is a boob monster and thinks that she's going to survive on BM for the next 5 years. I am hoping to wean her after her first birthday, but I am really starting to wonder if that's realistic at this point.

We introduced solids at 6 months (she's 8 months old now). She has never liked them. I am too scared to do BLW so we've been doing purees. I bought every single type of fruit/veggie puree and she hasn't loved any of them. DH feeds her oatmeal in the morning and she's better about eating that, but still not great. When I try to feed her purees for dinner she basically just lets her mouth hang open and they drip out, or she'll push them out with her tongue.

I thought maybe the issue is that she wants to feed herself, so I sliced up an avocado and put it on her tray, but she just played with it. I smushed some up with a spoon and gave her the tiniest bite and she gagged and spit up (she's always had a strong gag reflex).

So do I just keep trying and eventually she'll start liking them? I'm not worried from a nutritional standpoint because I know BM should still be her primary source of nutrition, but mealtimes are a pain and I just want her to start liking something!
