Hello all,
As of recently our, (aMohror and I's), little one has been quite the grumpy non-cooperative feeder. She is six months old and is a little behind in her learning, (she was born with and still has low muscle tone but can rollover both ways, sit up and was a decent breast feeder. She is also a tiny one weighing in at 12lbs 3oz @ six months!)

We have recently switched to strictly formula, (no breast feeding or breast milk), and have tried solids on two separate occasions; we did do rice cereal a few times also.

Here is our concern, she is supposed to be eating between 25 and 30 ounces a day but is only taking between 19 and 21. We try to feed her consistently and will make five to six ounce bottles but she starts to get really fussy after about two and a half to four ounces and will refuse anything more by spitting or sealing her lips. She is still happy and will roll around and play but we're both pretty sure she isn't getting enough. (Today we are at 11oz and almost halfway through the day ... two ounces at a time ...)

We have tried multiple bottles with different flow nipples and have heard that switching formulas should only be done after consulting our pediatrician. (The formula she is on is Similac Advanced which I believe is iron heavy(?).)

Any ideas on what this could be? Our pediatrician didn't seem too concerned but when do they ever unless they are dying it seems ... (sorry if you are a Peds doctor.)
