I've got a 12 day work trip planned for when LO is 11 months old. I've got a big enough stash to get him through it, but I worry that after that much time apart he may just reject nursing all together, which would make me a sad momma. What's the longest you've been away from your LO while nursing? Were there any challenges when coming back?

Following, because I'm curious, too. I have an 8 day trip away from my LO when she will be 14 months old. I'm curious if it will be the end of our BFing relationship.

5 days, and she was eager to resume nursing when I got home. She was 8 months at the time. I was away for 4 days when she was 12 months and that was fine, too.

One night when DS was 16.5 months. We were down to just one nighttime nursing session at that point and he stopped a few days after I got home. We were both ready I think.

3.5 days for LO 1 when she was 2.5 months old. I left pumped milk and I pumped while I was away.
2 days for LO 2 when she was 1. She was eating solids and she drank pumped milk from a straw cup while I was gone.

Overnight when DS was 3 months. And a few other overnights throughout his first year.
