LO is 7 1/2 months old, and tonight she ate a real meal for dinner, and she ate it herself, picking up her bites and putting them in her mouth.
I felt so proud of her, but sad at the same time.

Yes. We normally only give DS soft fruits and veggies. Today DH gave DS a small piece of cheese and I was convinced he would gag/choke on it. Nope he chewed it like a champ with no problems. Wah. My little boy is growing up!

@autumnlove: She actually ate breakfast this morning, scrambled egg, yogurt bites, and some puffs. Sadness.

We're doing baby led weaning and he always picks up the food himself, but he's just starting to actually "get" more of the food we give him. I'm going to be a little sad once he's taking in whole meals like that, though.
