LO has her preschool Halloween party on Thursday. It's from 2:30-3:30 so not super long. I had asked her teacher via email if I could bring my 1.5 year old or if I should get a sitter. Ideally I would get a sitter but unfortunately no one can help out that day. Her teacher said I could bring her but it's super chaotic and she wouldn't recommend it. I said that makes sense, totally agreed and then said maybe I would just skip it then (in a nice way!)...she said she wouldn't do that and then I maybe suggested just coming the last half. I'm torn on what to do, I don't want to be the cause of more chaos but I'd also like to go. What would you do?

I don't really see why your 1.5 year old will cause any additional chaos? You'll be there to watch her, it's not like you're asking them to watch her.
I'll go! I would love to be able to go to LO's Halloween party!

I would bring your 1.5 year old. Sounds like the chaos will come from the older kids running around, so you maybe should not put your littlest one down.

Since the teacher replied that she didn't want you to have to skip the party, maybe she initially meant it as a heads up that it'll be chaotic in case that will bother your little one? I get lots of younger siblings at my classroom parties & I feel bad sometimes for parents because the younger ones get overwhelmed. I think if your prepared for a lot of noise/action & LO2 is okay with that, you should go!

I'd go and bring the little one.
I do my coop days at DD1's preschool and DD2 comes with me no problem. -
I always bring my little one. Yes, it's a bit chaotic, but kid events are all like that anyway.
