1 dpo here and already getting antsy. The TWW seems to get worse and longer every cycle! Ok, rant over. Thanks!

@lazb: Woohoo! So awesome!!! Congrats!!!! Cutest onesie! Hoping for a happy and healthy 9 months!

@KT326: That's awesome!!! Hoping E2 is normal and you're good to go!!

@mrs d: That is some great timing!!! Hoping you got it this month!! I'm taking vitamin C as well, but I'll also be taking progesterone this month.

@marley: Girl, it's the worst! The entire TTC is a roller coaster ride for sure!

Have my CD10 scan Monday. Hoping for some good size follies!

Tested this morning and bfn so I'm guessing I'm out this cycle. AF should be here sometime in a few days.

@Winnie13: it is terrible. Also, still no temp shift this morning. I got my solid smiley on Wednesday afternoon so I'm a bit worried about having an anovulatory cycle.

  12. Winnie13

    kiwi / 501 posts

@marley: I'm sorry girl! Maybe tomorrow you'll get that shift! You may just be a little delayed. I noticed in some of my past cycles, my body would gear up to O, but I wouldn't until much later in my cycle. Is this a medicated cycle or natural?

  13. marley

    kiwi / 706 posts

@Winnie13: natural. Hopefully it's a delayed shift. My cm matches the supposed O day. I'm normally a slow riser but my temps have never actually dropped after a positive opk like this.

@LAZB: congrats!! I remember your comment about hormones and they were right on!!

The TWW has been so hard for me already. I am having so many slight "symptoms", but I am kind of crazy and it all could easily be in my head. (Slightly nauseous a couple times, couple dizzy spells, twinges in lower abdomen, tired.) I thought 2nd time around-with a busy toddler-I wouldn't be obsessing as much, but I am thinking about it constantly and just counting the days until I POAS this Friday!

    @marley: Temp shift?

  18. marley

    kiwi / 706 posts

@Winnie13: nope. Maybe I didn't ovulate. I'm 3dpo if Clearblue was accurate. Or maybe 2dpo, since it didn't turn positive until 4pm.

    kiwi / 706 posts

Weird...got another positive OPK yesterday, 4 days after the first one. Temp spike today. I guess I geared up but never O'd.

@Chillybear: I guess I'll move my POAS date to 3/19.

@marley: my OPK are always positive 😳 I stopped buying them because even the digital always put me at peak!

Goooood luck! I'm on 6 DPO and dying to test

Hello all! Decided to poke my head in because, well, we got carried away a day or two after O (I think?? Not positive about when I O'd) and now I'm realizing how much I want to be KU!

I'm thinking I can POAS starting Wednesday, but better to wait till Friday-ish...

    Good luck to all!

ETA: I think I might be 7DPO today, but it's really a crapshoot!

We had our IUI yesterday! My official blood draw is the 21st, but I know I will not be able to resist POAS before then. I'm not feeling too confident though, we didn't get a chance to have sex a couple days before our IUI (caught my son's cold). During our last successful IUI we did every other day a few days before and after.

@marley: I always had a hard time with OPK's, even with my monitored cycles. I would get the smiley days after I actually O'd (based on blood work). Good luck!

@Makingbabyw: @KT326: Glad to hear it happening to others. I'm still going to get some tests done, because my cycles are definitely not as regular as I thought. If I am ovulating now then it's CD 24. That's super late (hi! old egg!)

    @knittylady: good luck!

hi all-- i've been lurking for awhile and have decided to chime in.

    Ovulation Date: ?
POAS Date: 3/11, although from reading the boards I think I can sooner??
    Baby #:2

@KT326: That's exciting!!! Hoping for the best!!

@marley: So glad you got that temp shift!

Well, I had 2 good follicles! One at 14 mm and one at 18mm!! Yay!! Thank you Lord! I'll trigger Wed. and go in for IUI Friday morning! Lots of emotions, but mostly good ones. My doc did tell me this probably won't work... I was a little shocked when she said it. She told me most women try 2-4 times before getting a BFP. I think it was supposed to be encouraging. Her exact quote was if I tell myself it won't work, and then it does, I'll be pleasantly surprised! Well... That's not how I'm going to view it, but I understand why. Trying to be positive and trust in God's perfect timing!

@Winnie13: That's so exciting! although I'm not sure if I like your doctor's attitude? sending positive thoughts your way!

Anyone else want to celebrate NOT poas this morning?? I was fighting the urge so bad since I may only be 7dpo- so I went and peed! No stick in sight! Little victories right?

  31. Makingbabyw

    grape / 82 posts

@knittylady: I haven't yet either and am on DPO 7 as well!

I'm not feeling overly optimistic though- my temps dropped today 😞

  32. marley

    kiwi / 706 posts

@Makingbabyw: that looks like a normal mid-luteal phase dip (may or may not be implantation). Go through the charts on FF and you'll see that the 7dpo dip is very common. Looking good so far!!

Did anyone feel like just giving up? I'm feeling like that this cycle. Last cycle I felt like I did everything I could. I put my legs up on the wall every day, we used preseed, our timing was great, I tried to chart....and BFN.

This cycle, I haven't been charting, I haven't been putting my legs up on the wall, i feel like I just don't care. I care, I want this so badly, but I'm just so tired of the BFN's. It's feeling like too much work. But I really really want a baby.

@Shizaz: I was just thinking that if I don't see a BFP this cycle, then I'm done. Are you willing to try fertility treatments?

  35. LAZB

    pomegranate / 3904 posts

@Shizaz: I never wanted to give up, but I get the frustration. It took us 12 cycles with my son, and it definitely wears on you. Fx this is your lucky cycle!

  36. Umbreon

    clementine / 854 posts

@marley: I'm willing to, I just wish it wouldn't come to that... DH and I are young, 26, I feel like we shouldn't have to worry about it. This is only cycle 7. It's been a long 7 months though. I'm just tired of "trying" - I'm tired of timing it, OPKs, wondering if today is the best day, etc. I'm tired of feeling like I'm forcing DH to get in the mood because it's a good time. We both don't have very high sex drives, so it's draining.

I think I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and I'm feeling down about everything.

  37. Winnie13

    kiwi / 501 posts

@Shizaz: This is an emotionally draining process for sure!!! I'm sorry your having so much difficulty. It is super hard and frustrating when it's taking so long, especially when you're so young. I'm 27 and I've been TTC my 1st since Aug. 14. This cycle, we are trying are first IUI. It's been a long journey here, but we are relieved to be in better hands!! Don't give up hope! There are many steps to get your BFP!! Praying you get it soon!!

  38. marley

    kiwi / 706 posts

@Shizaz: hugs. You have youth on your side. But I understand the frustration completely.

  39. MrsB2012

    nectarine / 2466 posts

@Winnie13: that sounds promising! Good luck with the IUI

@dragonsword: welcome and good luck this month

@Shizaz: Yup, I understand how you feel. I feel the same way, I keep saying, maybe we should just stop trying and start again in a few months, which is kind of where we are at right now, taking a bit of a break. We're more NTNP this month as I just feel too stressed about things right now. I'm blessed with two beautiful babies already, but that doesn't make it any less hard having this take much longer this time. I'm sorry you're getting discouraged. I don't have much advice, but be kind to yourself

  40. Umbreon

    clementine / 854 posts

@MrsB2012: @marley: @Winnie13: @LAZB: Thank you all for your kind words! I'm feeling a bit better now than I was this morning. It's only been 7 months, and I know it's not nearly as long as some people, but it's nice to have somewhere to vent or just let it out that it's discouraging. We haven't told anyone we're trying, so I literally only have DH to talk to and I don't want to bring him down with me.

I'm going to keep on trucking for a few more months before I start thinking about going to a doctor. I am NOT going to spend any more money on OPKs or HPTs. I have an appt with my mom for some time at a spa on Friday, so hopefully that will help me reset and de-stress!

Thanks for all the encouragement though and good luck to you ladies this cycle too!
