@littlek: I did and it was negative lighter than yesterday. I used a different kind of OPK and there was a faint line. My guess is maybe LH was up post period? I dunno. Either way we shall see if I ovulate soon.

@MrsMccarthy: not sure if this helps (I'm no OPK expert), but I always had at least something of a faint LH line throughout my cycle. I'd say follow your body and the monitor and see if it gets darker again?

Well, AF came to visit today. Time to start over again. Who knows how long this month's cycle will be, I'm hoping shorter than this last 39 day one, so I'll hang out here as a cheerleader and see if I'll still qualify for March.

Okay, I'm sorry ladies, but I've been neglecting you for the past week. And it looks like I've missed a lot! Here's my stats!

    CYCLE DAY: 31

    EXPECTED OVULATION AND POAS DATES: O - 2/16 POAS - 3/3

    CYCLE #: 2

HOW HAS YOUR JOURNEY BEEN SO FAR AND WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO TRY THIS MONTH: So far it's been difficult; full of ups and downs. One minute I'm certain I'm pregnant and the next I'm sure I'll never get pregnant. Trying to stay positive...no pun intended.

    BABY #: 1

I'm experiencing a slight pain in my pelvis area... this better mean I'm either about to ovulate, AF is about to arrive, or I'm pregnant, haha. I can't deal... LOL

@MrsMccarthy: good! It seems like you are not ovulating early then.

@Adira: maybe ovulation? Have you checked to see of you have EWCM?

  22. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@littlek: I'll check today! The last time I checked was two days ago and it was just creamy. I didn't check yesterday because I usually don't the day after BDing, haha. I will report back later on the CM status! Although I RARELY have EWCM... I've only ever seen it once one cycle a million years ago.

@Adira: I feel the EXACT same way.
I've been experiencing some cramping for the last few days.

If I have my "normal" 28 day cycle, AF will arrive on Wednesday.
If I go by my OPKs and when I THINK I ovulated...AF is scheduled for Saturday.

If I got by what happened last month- cramping 8dp"o"...is when I really ovulated..(and I had an OPK get a bit darker yesterday morning. BFN HPT).... AF will arrive March 16th for an epic 40 day cycle.
    Ugh.

Or I could be pregnant. -_-

@KelLeeLeee: Yeah. Stark BFNs are no fun. How are you feeling today? Do you have anything fun to look forward to this week?

@mfa_lady: :: hugs :: Good perspective! Cycle Day 1 is always a fresh shiny new beginning. Last month when I had that weird freaky long cycle it made me really appreciate CD1.

@ABCmrs: Welcome back! I think your new doctor sounds very proactive! What a good thing!

  31. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@littlek: I think I'm in denial about the fact I may not have ovulated! I keep hoping that this is implantation, hahaha.

@HolisticMama: Oh my gosh, I hear you!!! Last cycle was an excruciating 44 days, so I'm PROBABLY about to ovulate (CD 36, just like last cycle), but I've had a steady temp rise over the past week and based on CM and CP, I am personally hoping I already ovulated, which means this pain could be AF about to show up or implantation (please please please let it be implantation)! But I didn't use OPKs really, so I don't REALLY know what's going on... ugh, this is torture.

TTC can sure put a strain on a relationship at times. This cycle has just felt super trying. I have been tired and feeling a bit overwhelmed. We DTD EOD from Valentine's Day to February 22nd, but then I woke up to a darkening OPK yesterday, which falls in line with what happened to me last month too (I really O'd 8 days after when I thought I O'd...I thought maybe I was having implantation cramping...It was ovulation cramping. And I did have two batches of darkening OPKs)

Yesterday was rough. I escaped to the bathroom at Old Chicago to shed a few tears, because DH and I were talking about starting a family and the topic just felt especially heavy, especially since he didn't feel like DTD earlier in the day. We were surrounded by children and there was a little boy in the bathroom practicing his math facts with his mom while I was in there.

Neither of us felt like BDing last night. In fact, DH got frustrated and actually left the room. I couldn't believe that we (he) were consciously making the decision to possibly miss this cycle. Ultimately he came back about 30 minutes later in a better mood, but this whole process can just be really physically and emotionally exhausting.

    :: sigh ::

How are you ladies holding up? Anyone having a bit of a battle this cycle?

  33. HolisticMama

    persimmon / 1167 posts

@Adira: And I'm using OPKs and not temping. I am tempted (get it..Haha)...to start trying to wake up consistently to temp, but I think it would ultimately stress me out to no end and be a detriment.

  34. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@HolisticMama: haha, I don't get up at a consistent time and maybe that's what's messing me up, but I never did before baby #1 and it seemed fine, so I figured I could get away with it this time too. Next cycle (please fertility gods, don't let me have a "next cycle"), I'll be buying OPKs!

  35. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@HolisticMama: I definitely feel you on the relationship strain. I remember when we were TTC for #1, our 5th cycle, Hubs and I got into like a week-long fight and basically missed my entire fertility window! And it can be sooooo hard to get in the mood to DTD when you HAVE to and are having other issues!

We've been trying to BD EOD since Feb 19th, and the first three times was okay, but now it definitely just feels like a chore. And it's hard because sometimes Hubs is just like "Okay, I will" but then seems totally disinterested when we get started and I basically have to try my hardest to be as sexy and seductive as possible to get him in the mood, while I feel like he's just resisting! Which then puts ME in a sour mood because it feels like he's not even trying (HELLO, haven't you heard of faking it until you're making it???) and then things just go down hill! I honestly am hoping that I already ovulated so that my bases are already covered, because I'm not sure how much longer we can keep this up! Especially when I'm saying stuff like "We have to have sex tonight" and Hubs is saying things like "Wow... sounds so enticing..." and we both know we're sick of HAVING to do it! I'm already missing having sex just for the fun of it and we're only in cycle #1 of TRYING! Ugh.

  36. HolisticMama

    persimmon / 1167 posts

@Adira: Are we sister wives? Because I think you might be married to my husband!

  37. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@HolisticMama: hahaha! Well, I hate that we're both having the same issues, but it does make me feel better that I'm not the only one!!!!! This is why I'm hoping to use OPKs next cycle so we don't have to BD ALL THE TIME (since we apparently don't like having sex with each other all that much, hahahaha), although based on what you're saying, it sounds like it might not save me!!!!

Gahhh, I hope we both just hurry up and get knocked up so we don't have to deal with this anymore!

  38. HolisticMama

    persimmon / 1167 posts

@Adira: Yeah, DH and I have joked that it would be funny if the reason I am so emotional and feeling so drained this cycle was because I was already KU. It would be a funny story. "There was this one time, where I was crying in a restaurant bathroom because I wanted to start a family so badly...AND I was already pregnant."

  39. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@HolisticMama: haha, if only!!!! Fingers crossed that maybe that's the case!!

I was sick earlier in this cycle (like stomach bug sick) and Hubs was all "It's probably morning sickness." I wanted to smack him because I hadn't even ovulated yet and his comment STILL got my hopes up!!!!

So for "fun" I took an OPK... Is this dark for 10 DPO? I haven't done FRER since 7/8 DPO and it was negative.
