And our 1st IUI was a bust. 14 DPIUI and a BFN! I'm sad and disappointed, but trust in God's timing. I'm stopping the progesterone today and will move onto IUI #2 next cycle.

@Winnie13: I'm sorry, friend. you aren't officially out yet, but I understand the disappointment and sadness. Big hugs.

@Winnie13: so sorry. I know you were super pumped for this cycle. FX you are too early but if not, best wishes for round 2.

    @crystal: @delight:
Thank you all... I really appreciate the support. I wish it was too early, but I tested on the official testing day. 14 days after my ovulation/IUI and 16 days after Trigger. I'm definitely out. Doc told me to stop progesterone and just wait for AF. The positive through it all is my LP went from 8 days to 14 days +++! Woo! As yucky as the progesterone made me feel, it was definitely worth it!!!

Apart of me still feels like I didn't O. I don't know why I think that and I'm sure I did, but I just have this feeling. It is possible to not O on the trigger... I'm going to bring it up to my RE and see what she thinks next week. I'm sure she will just think I'm nuts!

If this next IUI is still under insurance, I'm considering using our savings towards acupuncture. What is everyone's thoughts?

  6. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

@Winnie13: I use acupuncture and really like it! My acupuncturist actually has infertility training, which definitely helps. I think it helped me get pregnant the last time.

@bloomingflower: Thank you!! I'm hoping for you!! How many DPO are you?? How are you feeling?

@Delight: Praying for your appointment this week and praying for a miracle!

@crystal: DH isn't sold on it. It is not covered by insurance, so it will run about $500. It all depends on if this cycle is covered... We will see! Maybe I can convince him!! How was your BD week?? In the TWW??

  8. delight

    pomelo / 5326 posts

@Winnie13: thanks so much. I have to wait until Thursday. This is the longest TWW ever! Still super sick and throwing up every day now so maybe that's a good sign. I know you can still have symptoms with a blighted ovum though. Only time will tell!

I would totally do acupuncture. That was in my plan. If this babe is not meant to be and we have to go ahead with IUI or IVF this spring, I am doing acupuncture for sure. I've only heard good things.

  9. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

@delight: I've been thinking about you a lot. I'm crossing all my fingers and toes that you get good news this week. They wouldn't run any betas for you?

@Winnie13: $500 a month? For how many treatments? Honestly I truly believe acupuncture has made all the difference for me.

Still in the middle of BD week! Which has been creative since some people have been staying with us. I got a positive opk this morning, so I'm Oing a day later than expected.

This cycle would be pretty great, timing wise. We'd be able to announce on Father's Day, and the baby would be due on my dad and sisters birthday. Plus, it would extend my maternity leave by 2 weeks because of the December holidays. I'm trying to be chill about it, but I really really hope this is it!

  10. delight

    pomelo / 5326 posts

@Crystal: no he never mentioned more betas. From what I've read, HCG can continue to rise with a BO so I don't know if they're too telling. Our clinic just has a policy where you go back in two weeks unless you start having bleeding, they'll see you right away. No spotting or cramping for me, so hopefully that's a good sign. Thanks for thinking of me. Best wishes for you this cycle. It does sound like it would be good timing for sure!

  11. Winnie13

    kiwi / 501 posts

@Crystal: That sounds like perfect timing!!! Praying for you and that this cycle is it!!! 🙏🙏🙏

I believe it's 500 and I would see her 6 times before the IUI and 2 times after the IUI. It's been awhile, so I don't really remember. Does that sound right??

  12. bloomingflower

    olive / 52 posts

@Winnie13: well a BFN this am but AF has not yet arrived so who knows. Will keep you posted.

  13. Winnie13

    kiwi / 501 posts

@bloomingflower: Hopefully it never comes!!! Maybe you're a late implanter!!

  14. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

@Winnie13: mine charges around $60/65 a session without insurance, so that seems about right.

    Has AF arrived yet?

My OPKs and temps are all over the place! I can't tell if I already Od or haven't Od yet. So, lots of BDing just in case.

  15. Winnie13

    kiwi / 501 posts

@Crystal: AF officially arrived yesterday! Going to RE today for baseline scan. Seeing if she is changing my meds or keeping it the same!!

Sorry about your chart!! That's the worst!! Hopefully you get some consistent high temps! DH must be in the best of moods!! 😉

  16. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

@Winnie13: good luck at the RE! Let us know what s/he says!

Lol, even DH is tired now! He was in a pretty good mood earlier this week, though!

  17. Winnie13

    kiwi / 501 posts

@Crystal: So, disappointing news! I have a big ol' cyst! 14mm! It's like the size of a follie! 👎 No IUI this month. She gave me a pack of birth control and said come back next month. Hoping this bad boy is gone in a month!

I bet, I know when DH and I go on marathons, we are both exhausted by the end of the day! Hoping for you girl!!

  18. Crystal

@Winnie13: thank you! You are always such a ray of positivity, thank you for that! Why BC instead of just not trying?

  19. bloomingflower

    olive / 52 posts

@Winnie13: unfortunately af came and I am out.

  20. Winnie13

    kiwi / 501 posts

@bloomingflower: Oh, I'm so sorry!! It's a hard day friend! I'm praying for you and hoping you get your BFP!!!

@crystal: So, I think they do the BC for a couple of reasons. One being my cycles are so out of whack, that it may take forever to O (I hardly do on my own) and get my next cycl started. This will force my AF. The other reason being we are starving the cyst. My follies won't grow and hopefully neither will the cyst. Hoping is gone next cycle!

Thank you for your kind words!! I can't take credit though, it's truly my faith in The Lord. I believe in my heart that He will bless me with a baby. Right now, I don't know what path He will lead me down, but I'm taking it day by day. I know that this is a difficult journey, but if I can shine His light and help encourage others, then it's a good day! I truly believe if having a baby is a true desire of your heart, you will be blessed!! I am praying for you friend and I know your rainbow baby is coming!!!!

    @bloomingflower: so sorry af arrived

AFM, we have our first IUI set for tomorrow morning. 930 am. I have 5 follicles on my lft biggest was 22.3mm yesterday and smallest was 11.6mm. My lining was a little thin at only 6 mm, hoping it will be up to 8mm by tomorrow!! I took my trigger last night..... Here's hoping!!

    Thanks ladies!

@LibbyLou: you have one tube blocked right? Or am I mistaken?? Bc my dr told me something interesting.... That the ovaries tend to switch each cycle. For example last cycle my large follicles were on my right and then this cycle they are all on my left. I'm not sure how accurate this is by I thought it was interesting and thought of you.

  26. LibbyLou

    kiwi / 739 posts

@Ajsmommy: yup that's me! I hope that is the case as we are taking next few months of intervention off but still doing TI. Maybe after all this I'll get pregnant without any help. 😜

@Ajsmommy: I hope the IUI goes well!!
@bloomingflower: sorry about AF. Best wishes on your next cycle.
@Crystal: have you confirmed O yet?!

I have my follow up scan tomorrow. I'm almost 9w by LMP and I O'd on CD13 so either there will be a babe or there won't. I'm clinging to an ounce of hope.

Hey girls. I updated on the TTC Loss and November thread already but wanted to share here too. By some unbelievable stroke of luck, or all the positive energy that has been thrown my way, our follow up scan showed a 9 week baby, measuring right on track. I read about this happening and tried to keep the faith but my 7 week scan showed literally nothing in a big black hole of a sac. Thanks girls for your support over the last year. I wish you all the best in your journeys and will continue to root and stalk the thread!!

IUI went smoothly. It was really quick and painless. I took the day off since it was my birthday and planned to shop and go out to eat.. instead... thanks to being sick I went home to take a nap and freakin slept until 2 pm!!!! needless to say my shopping day was shot. So I took DD to the playground when I picked her up, we ate pizza when DH got home and had "happy day" cake.

    @delight: great news!

@Ajsmommy: sorry you got sick, and on your bday no less! I hope that all the rest you got will help with getting a BFP though!

@LibbyLou: fx you get to be one of the lucky ones! What interventions are you moving to next?

    @Winnie13: how are you doing?

@bloomingflower: how are you holding up?

FF says I Od cd15, but I think I Od cd17. My temps are all over the place, so it's hard to confirm. So, that puts me between 5-7 DPO. I've finally gotten a chance to recharge my batteries (I took yesterday and today off), which I'm hoping will lead to a successful implantation!
