I used the same list to find places around home and work (40 min difference alas) and emailed each center for prices and checked their hours first (hubs is also a teacher so we wanted one that could give us summers off). We then visited the ones that fit and settled on the one we felt comfortable with. Hope that helps! We searched around Mansfield and Foxboro.

@crash806: OMG, that is HORRIBLE!! i didn't hear about that, so awful! in home daycares can be so wonderful if you find a good one, but so scary if you don't =( most of the time it's not the provider but other ppl that they trust that come in and do awful things. breaks your heart when you hear ppl are capable of doing such things to such innocent little souls

@JoJoGirl: ugh - my husband tried to shield me from the Wakefield creep, but I saw it on the news...sickening. Sorry, no advice, but interested to see.... We have just been doing a lot of visits. We looked at a few in home daycares but they didn't feel right for us. Been asking around too since we are pretty new to the area and don't know anyone - but it's tough! We really liked the kindercare in Wakefield actually.., still undecided though.
