We are going with Graco PNP with bassinet in lieu of a real bassinet. Should we buy a new mattress pad?
If you bought one for your LO, what kind did you buy?

We have a Graco and it came with a built-in bassinet, too. What do you mean by a new mattress pad? Like, a different one to put into the PNP? The one ours came with was fine enough. Does that help?

Yes, I was wondering if I should supplement with a new one since I heard some of them are really thin.

We just lined the bassinet attachment with a couple of flannel receiving blankets. They are not puffy and since baby couldn't roll over yet, it's not a SIDS risk. We switched him to his crib at 1 month.

@Clementine: Oh, I see. No need to buy another one. The one it comes with is thin, yes, but it's sturdy enough. And if you intend on swaddling, it's not a problem at all.

Get the quilted sheets. They help make it feel a bit more plush.
