@T.H.O.U.: I've driven myself crazy before testing every day and it turned out I didn't O that cycle until CD 31, so it's always possible you had a very late O and it's just an off cycle? Are you having any symptoms of being in the luteal phase? Maybe test every other day to drive yourself less crazy? Keeping my fx for you!!

So...continuing to get BFNs and now have my pre-AF spotting, so I'm def. out.
I told DH this morning (who is never an emotional or understanding person) how I was feeling about everything and he was better than I expected. His only response really was, "Don't worry" and my response was, "Easier said than done!"
I'm just happy he knows now how much I've been stressing about this whole getting pregnant thing.

Thanks ladies! All of you on HB have been such a great support. I had to confirm with two more test and the FRER came up positive again and so did the DIGITAL! I have wanted to see the word *Pregnant* for so long it was like we were reading the results for the first time again!

@babycanuck: I'm sorry you're out, lady. Hoping you get good news soon. Hang in there.

@Sugar.Biscuit: Ahhhhhhh congrats!!
@babycanuck: Sorry to hear you're out.
As for me, I'm on CD 31 with no O in sight. I think I was right about this cycle modeling my January cycle. If that's the case, I should O sometime next week (fingers crossed). Meaning, I'm a rollover, sort of...since there's no way I'm going to get to POAS in May. Humpft.

6DPO today so due to test sometime this weekend. We have out-of-town friends visiting and a DMB concert so guess who won't be drinking (just to be safe). Womp womp! I want to wait until they leave before POAS so I don't have to be all sneaky while they're here. We're trying to plan things to do and, of course, a lot center around alcohol too!

@doxielove: Bummer... hope O happens for you soon!
@LindsayInNYC: Awww boo to no drinking but hoping that you get a BFP after the weekend and not drinking was worth it!

@MrsKoala: I know!! I think, if our friends get suspicious, we'll just say that we're TTC and may or may not be right now so we're playing it safe? If I test while they're here, I don't know how well I could keep the secret! Plus, how do I celebrate with DH either?!
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@LindsayInNYC: Oh, definitely! It would be way too hard to keep that a secret and it would suck not to be able to celebrate properly! If I were in your situation, I'd wait, too!

@LindsayInNYC: I had a friend visiting the day after I found out! it was painfully awkward because we'd just found out...i faked a UTI so i couldn't drink, but DH was craving sushi so i had to deal with that one too. but, i got through it and she didn't suspect a thing. There are a million reasons for not drinking, so you could definitely make one up...just keep in mind that if you do say you are TTC, make sure they are people you are comfortable with knowing (there are certain people i know would ask us every 5 minutes if we were pregnant yet!) I would either test the day before they arrive or after they leave. good luck!

Two positive OPK tests this morning!! Woohoo!
@lindsayinnyc: ohhhh I hope you get a BFP!!!
@doxielove: Im not really able to POAS in May either because I have long cycles too. Hoping O is just around the corner for you!!
@babycanuck: bummer FX for June!

@LindsayInNYC: good luck!! Fingers crossed for you! I'm going to a bachelorette party and wedding this weekend and am super nervous about hiding not drinking! I feel your pain!!
bananas / 9229 posts
@Pirouette: Luckily, these friends live halfway cross-country and we only share one mutual set of friends with them! We met them at another friends' wedding So I don't mind them knowing we're TTC since there's little damage they could do. If anything, it might be weird since they're our age and not even engaged yet (he needs to get a move on, LOL!). We're going to DMB Saturday night and planned on visiting a winery during the day. Turns out there's also a brewery nearby. I can only make up excuses for some long before they get suspicious, LOL!

@citymouse: Yaaay!!! +OPKs are the best
@Emsmems: Oh geez, that's extra tough! Thankfully I don't have to deal with that. We had a wine dinner/auction on Friday and I drank there (was worried I wouldn't be able to/would have to hide it) but it was kinda the last time until POAS date.
pomegranate / 3331 posts
@LindsayInNYC: ha, yea, then probably best to be honest...it sounds like they are "safe" people to tell! i've had 2 bachelorettes since finding out, and one was an all day trip to wineries...that was really fun sober, let me tell you! we were a big rowdy group of girls though, so kinda different. and i'm a huge wino so it was awkward.
bananas / 9229 posts
@Pirouette: Oh geez! That would be terrible!! How did you manage to keep everything a secret during those? Especially the winery! (I'm like you - I like my wine and craft beers!)
pomegranate / 3331 posts
@LindsayInNYC: it was really hard! i told the bride for each of the bach's, so that was a weight off my shoulders. for the first bach i had a "really bad migraine like headache" and for the wineries, i said i got glutened (i have celiac so i get very sick from gluten) the night before. No one there happened to know that being glutened has nothing to do with drinking alcohol, and would never have affected my desire to drink at a winery haha.
I'm actually shocked no one suspected a thing! It was a full weekend away and all we (they!) did was drink, and no one questioned me at all. babies came up a TON that weekend too, because the bride is baby crazy, but i just brushed it off like we weren't ready to start thinking about it.

@Emsmems: I feel you!! My sister's bachelorette is this weekend, too. She knows, but no one else does! Should be an interesting night...
@LindsayInNYC: good luck! I think I would test either after or before, too. Tbh, DH and I didn't really do anything to celebrate, but it would be hard not.to talk about!
@citymouse: yay!!

Feeling a little discouraged. I got two positive OPK this morning (First Response and Clearblue Ovulation--Blinking Smiley Kind) and then I tested again this evening with another FR and it was negative. It makes me think the surge started yesterday, and ended this morning. We had sex last night but I immediately got up bc we have been EOD until we got the positive OPK. Last night wasn't suppose to "count." Idk why Im just feeling like we missed it somehow. Like I am ovulating right now and the only chance is from last night. We have been doing the SMEP for this cycle.
Husband will be home soon and so Im going to be ready with some Pre-seed but Im just already feeling like we failed with the timing again. Like we should have BD before he left for work. Blah.

@citymouse: I found this chart a few days ago that made me feel better:
To me, it sounds like you timed things perfectly. And sure, go for it today if you feel like it, but based on your OPKs, you've already got it taken care of pretty well
eggplant / 11408 posts
@citymouse: hang in there, lady! There's hope!! Both times I got pregnant, we "missed" O and had bd the day before and two days after. So you have a really good chance!! That feeling is awful, though...where you feel like you missed your only good chance. Don't beat yourself up too much. Fingers crossed for you!!
persimmon / 1331 posts
@citymouse: that happened to me this month too! I got a smiley opk and DH was at work that day. Our only shot was the morning after my +opk. And apparently that was all we needed! Hold out hope! Good luck!

I'm expecting O this week and trying to be calm about it. Of course it is this week when DH started his summer semester and not last when he was home all week. Oh well. I'm feeling optimistic.

@citymouse: We BD April 27th, 29th, and the morning of May 1st. I got a positive OPK on April 30th (I didn't get a chance to test on the 29th, so I think I luckily caught the end of the surge on the 30th.) We got our BFP on May 12th! Looks like you actually have pretty good timing! Wishing you luck!

Still waiting at cd 31. I think maybe I ovulated really late (like maybe last week) based on CM. We only bd once around that time so I'm guessing we missed our shot but maybe this log cycle will e over soon.
nectarine / 2063 posts
@T.H.O.U.: we only BD once during our CM. We started early this cycle & didn't delay things. I think hitting peak CM & using preseed really helped us. FX for you. Remember it only takes once

@mrs. 64: I'm excited for you!! Good luck lady. Have fun
@T.H.O.U.: fingers crossed for you! You've got a good shot we only got two days in, and neither was on O day.

@mrs.someone: @emsems: @lovelyplum @pinkpeony921: thanks for the encouragement ladies!! I appreciate this board so much! FX that we got in what we needed to! My goal now is to not symptom spot!
