First off, I'm really sorry if you think this fits better in the pregnancy thread - I toyed with the idea but I thought there would be more relevant responses here!

I was diagnosed with PCOS and put on 750mg of Metformin, extended release, as well as progesterone for during my LP. My doctor wants me to stop metformin once pregnancy has been confirmed. This seems to contradicts EVERYTHING I read online, including medical journals and research studies. Mostly I see that it decreases miscarriage risk during the first trimester, by controlling your hormone levels. I can try talking to my doctor about it but I don't want to come across as telling my doctor what to do, or like, "I read on the internet..." blah blah.

If you were/are on metformin, what does the doctor recommend in case of pregnancy?

@bluestripedbee: I think you posted about this awhile back but couldn't find the post!
