To the moms who bottle feed their LO's, how much did/does your LO drink at 8 months?
At our 6 month appointment, our pediatrician recommended our LO continue to take the same amount of milk as she was drinking before solids (28 oz) but I've noticed the amount she will drink has steadily been declining, now down to about 20 oz a day. I don't feed LO a ton of solids so I don't think she's filling up on table food.

We dont feed a ton of solids either and C has been doing the same thing. She eats about 24oz a day, normally.

My doctor said the same thing at 6 months, but also said that it would be normal for him to drink between 20-24 oz a day if taking in some solids.
At 8 months, my son still drinks roughly 24 oz (five bottles) a day plus 2 solid meals of puree and one BLW meal (where he does not actually eat much).

@zippylef: Do you notice your LO gets distracted towards the end of the bottle? I'm wondering if that's why my LO is drinking less.
@winniebee: Interesting, our pediatrician said our LO should be drinking the same amount as she did before solids, which was 28 oz. Your feeding plan sounds similar to ours. We feed small puree breakfast and lunch, and then a BLW afternoon snack, most of which ends up on the floor.

@betsyboop: Yes! She gets extremely distracted and is more interested in playing than eating.

LO is 9 months gets 3 bottles during the day and nurses the rest of the time, so I don't have an accurate reading of how much she drinks, but she gets 15 oz. in her bottles. She has dropped nursing sessions since we've started solids, (2 purees and 1 BLW for dinner) so I know she's drinking less.

@betsyboop: well in one breath our doc said milk should be primary source of nutritionbit also said to feed him as mug solids as he wants. He has about 5 oz of purée a day. Against my better judgment my son gets his bottles before naps and bed. Otherwise way too distracted to drink. Also dice he wakes up less or not at all at night I think it's logical not to drink as much.
