with another baby on the way, we finally moved our 2 1/2 YO to a twin bed. we hyped up the bed, with some cute sheets I bought at target, and reminded her she was a big girl and not a baby anymore. she was happy with the bed, and friday night was the first night, and she cried for a couple minutes as we left the room, but went to sleep just fine and woke up happy the next morning. same thing on sat night.

but last night, she must have been playing on her bed and even though we have the side bumper guard up, she must have moved herself toward the foot of the bed, as she fell out of bed at 2am and was on the floor at the food of the bed. she was of course upset but did go back to bed after calming her down, and woke up happy as can be this morning.

short of putting her mattress on the floor or putting a guard rail at the foot of the bed, not sure how this could be prevented again. gonna try to explain to her tonight about staying near her pillow when she sleeps.

any suggestions?
