We were just informed my now 8mo daughter will be moving up to the 1 yr olds class at daycare when she is only 9 months. We were excited until we learned that meant she was not allowed to use a bottle (sippy cups only), would only get one nap a day (and only at the scheduled time), sleep on a mat on the floor instead of in a crib, is required to wear shoes, and (I assume) would have to feed herself all solids.

I feel like the school is just doing this to make room in her infant class and it is not in her best interest, or even possible, for her to make all these changes at such a young age.

Have you ever heard of a 9 month old capable of doing these things? Would you expect the school to accommodate her, or for her to adjust?

I'm seriously panicking over this. Help!
