So I just went to the bathroom and a LOT of mucus came out tinged with blood. Is this always an indicator that labor is going to come soon?
With my first, my water broke a day after I got my bloody show and I went into labor shortly after.
How soon after you lost your mucus plug and bloody show did you go into labor?

I lost my mucus plug on Sunday night and went into labor Tuesday morning.
ETA: But EEK! Not long now either way!

I lost my mucus plug 5 weeks before I went into labor. I had my bloody show when my water broke, but it looked more like period blood (but only one wipe).
Exciting!!!

I lost my mucus plug/bloody show when I was in triage after a cervical check. My contractions were already about 2-3 minutes apart by that point.

@Mrs. High Heels: Gaaah! I'm so excited for you! I didn't lose my plug until I was in triage at L&D. I was like you - I had been having consistent pulsing/contractions, but they weren't painful. I only went to the hospital because Mr. Chalk insisted, but Eloise was born a few hours later.
Can't wait for an update!

I know dilation isn't always a great sign of labor, but I was already 4 cm dilated on Monday when my ob checked my cervix... so hoping this will be a quick (and painless?? a girl can dream) labor!

I lost my mucus plug about a week and a half before delivery. And I continued to have tons of mucus down there for that whole time. I then had a bloody show when labor started.

I lost my mucus plug, or a big chunk of it, at 35 weeks. I had increased discharge from that point until my membranes were stripped at 39 weeks. I had a lot of bleeding from that and some mucousy, bloody clots, which I believe was my bloody show. I went into labor about 36 hours later.

I lost my mucus plug when I had been admitted. At that point, my contractions were 2 to 3 minutes apart already!
