My LO is eight months. We've been trying vegetable and fruit purees since he was six months and he has never been a fan. He'll take a few bites and then loses interest.
Now table food, however, he LOVES. He'll eat whatever I'm eating happily.
I'm kind of bummed lol, I was really looking forward to introducing veggies and fruits to him ...the best laid plans, right?
Was anybody else's LO just not into purees?

My baby was ambivalent towards purees. In all honesty though, purees were kind of a pain and a dinner-time time suck for me, so I would be OK with him not being interested.

My baby didn't like them either. I did them for a really short time before giving up. I think they are a pain anyway. Much easier to just give her what you're eating, including fruit and veg!

Can you just put more fruits and veggies on your plate? Maybe LO is trying to trick you into eating healthier

My LO *hated* purees too.....but that doesn't mean you can't introduce your LO to fruits and veggies - just feed him chunks of whatever fruits and veggies you're eating!

My lo isn't keen of eating anything savoury from a spoon but is happy to eat sweet foods like custard and puréed fruit and will eat oatmeal for breakfast. At dinner time she eats table food and then has purée or yoghurt etc for "dessert"

M hated purees, but we still did almost exclusively fruits and veggies for a long time. Just table foods instead of purees!

Why can't you introduce fruits and veggies?
My LO loves all for. Table or purée, as long as it ends up in her mouth she's happy.

my baby didn't like runny purees. they had to be thick... like, even thicker than yoghurt and chunky for him to eat them! we were eating fairly chunky purees from 7.5 months (after not really starting solids until 6.5). he was pretty much exclusively doing finger foods from just before 9 months onwards!
there's no reason you can't still introduce fruits and veges... we just gently steamed everything and he would nom away!
