We have been talking about buying one specifically so we can watch MIL. We don't trust her alone with baby so we have a rule that FIL must be present at all times. He is an enabler though so we are considering a nanny cam to make sure they're following our rules.

We do and told her about it. It's a camera that runs through the Internet/computer somehow (clearly i am not technology savy) but it allows us to watch from an app on our iPhone - love it! we originally used it to watch our pup during the day so we didn't buy it specifically for a nanny can. I would have gotten one anyway probably, not because I don't trust my nanny (though I like that it will help her stay somewhat accountable), but really because I just like to watch my LO during the day.

@LindsayInNYC: it's called dlink security cam. the camera itself is somewhat expensive, i think we purchased it for $100? but it was worth it for us in the end!

We used our foscam, before we turned it into a bedroom cam for our son's room.

Kind of haha... We have a camera in his room that we can check on him while he sleeps but we can only see his room so if they're playing in the living room I can't see them.
