We have a camera. It's not hidden. I sometimes forget to mention it to casual babysitters.
If we had a regular nanny I'd mention it.

We have security cameras that we had installed before we ever had a nanny. We got them after a break-in in our building, but now I basically use it as a nanny cam. I love our nanny and totally trust her, but I try to check in at least once a day.

The cameras aren't hidden, and our nanny knows they are there. No cameras in the bathrooms or our Master bedroom, just the living room/kitchen and the girls' room. Since it's a security system, we also have a log of when there is motion in each room, when the front door or back door opens, if a window is opened, etc. I also check the log from time to time....it's super reassuring, just because I can see she's always home in time for lunch and nap, that kind of thing.

For me, there's nothing more precious than my kids. I love having the cameras.
