I had a D&C on October 26 and here we are on December 27 and still no period. I'm wondering if this is normal.. My OB said that it would be 4 to 6 weeks until I got AF, but i'm double that now!
Basically my question is why haven't I gotten it yet? Has anyone else had to deal with this?
I'm just ready to get all this over with.

After my D&C, it took about 7 weeks. If I were you, I'd give your doctor a call. I think my doctor said to call after 8 weeks. They may give you some drugs to induce your period and get things back on track. Sorry you had to deal with this. I hope you're able to put it behind you soon.

@futuremama: I just called my OB and she said to take a pregnancy test & let her know the results.

@autumnlove: That makes me really nervous because she told us not to get pregnant at least until January. I'd be thrilled of course, but worried sick!

@MrsTiz: Now that you mention it, she told me that too. Hope you get a surprise! I wouldn't worry if you get a positive. I think they tend to be very conservative about telling people to try again.

@MrsTiz: sometimes I think their recommendations are a bit conservative just in case you aren't doing well. I know our doctor recommended we wait 3 cycles, but when I went in after our 6wk checkup and my cycle started again, he told us we could start trying. I think I was also mentally better and that was something he was looking for.

Well I took a test when I got home, big fat negative. Womp womp, now I have to make an appointment to figure out what is wrong with me.

@MrsTiz: Sorry you're worried! I think it took 10 weeks after my D&C for AF to come back. There was nothing wrong, and after two cycles I got a BFP. Of course, see the doc if you're worried, but everything could be okay!
