Has your LO ever gone ALL DAY without napping? K is sick, but she has refused to nap all day. I mean, crying in the crib for an hour, flat out screaming… I'm at my wits end (and it's almost 5:30 pm here!) I would take her out in the car to try and get a nap, but it's raining. Yesterday she napped 20 min. and 38 min. all day.
I thought a fever and being sick usually makes babies MORE sleepy? wth?! Of course my child refuses to sleep even more than usual.

Sorry to hear she's not feeling well. We go through this as well. The last two days - no naps! And she's exhausted but won't sleep. Of course she was falling asleep around 5 which isn't good. So it was an early dinner then straight to bed! But this has happened a few other times in the recent past and then she goes back to her normal nap routine.

@fancyfunction: Thanks for giving me hope. We had just been getting better with 2 decent (and I mean, over 45 min.) naps a day. Glad to hear we can get back on track after this is over!
@Dandelion: IDK. She doesn't do anything with her ears. She gets hot and lethargic, but seems better pretty quick after Motrin. All she wants to do is play. But she screams bloody murder basically as soon as I put her down or leave her alone. If she's with me, she's seems perfectly happy. Wouldn't know she was sick except for the fever, runny nose, and coughing.

Aww poor little K. Hope she feels better soon. There are days my LO doesn't want to nap either but she usually goes to bed pretty early then. Hang in there, its almost bedtime!

My DD is 6 months, for the last.. 3ish months it's more common for her not to nap at all during the day then it is for her to nap. It's super annoying! The only way I can get her to nap is to put her in her carrier and walk the dog. I have to put a blanket over her head or she'll look around. Hopefully your LO feels better soon and gets back to the normal routine

My LO will sometimes go all day at daycare without napping - not related to sickness or anything. I hope you have a better day tomorrow!

Oh dear, poor K! Poor mama!! My LO has never gone without a nap but when his naps are later than normal he has complete meltdowns. I can only imagine what you're going through. Hope you both have a better day tomorrow.

@shopaholic: Sadie just had an ear infection & was the same way. It wasn't awesome, but I did appreciate the extra cuddles that I don't normally get!

My kids are the same when they are sick. All other kids seem to sleep more, but not here, so I'm going through the same thing right now. Hope everyone gets better soon!

My LO has only ever had one no-nap day when he was teeny tiny and I freaked the F out. But, he sleeps less when sick as well!

The one and only time that he went all day without a nap was his baptism day. He was overstimulated and we had a lot of ppl at the house. He catnapped for 20 min on the drive home. But that was it. It was a shitty nt of sleep for our great sleeper because he was so overtired too. :T

@shopaholic: for 2 weeks or so DS didn't nap at all. It was complete hell (mainly for me). He was getting 6 teeth at once so I'm guessing that was it. Hope she feels better and naps tomorrow!

Big hugs mama! E gets manic when tired and also usually doesn't nap well (or at all) when sick. I hope she sleeps well for you tonight and feels better ASAP
