@Applesandbananas: yes! I remember hating it when I first heard it, but it grew on me.

I'm really hoping to join you guys this month, but it's not looking great. I tend toward 30-day cycles, and my period still isn't back after my miscarriage. I've been spotting for three days now, and it picked up a little tonight, so I'm really hoping my period starts tomorrow.
I will be charting and using opks once my period is over. Will probably aim for every day sex when I have fertile cm.

@LCTBQE: Congrats and good luck!
@mrschickpea: Sure! We are off to Hawaii.
@pwnstar: The last time we ttc I was a crazy person, this cycle I am feeling surprisingly relaxed. We will see what happens after O though haha

@mrschickpea: thanks for the and the positivity I need them both! Hoping for a late implantation, but I'm wary after my labor day mc. I had blood drawn this morning and they're supposed to call me tomorrow. also! I clicked on your profile--Austin is my hometown! agh, I miss it so much.
@aprilfool: it's relaxing even to read that you're relaxed cool.

@Silva: hope to see you on here soon! In the midst of TTC, you never think you'll be praying for AF to show up
@LCTBQE: hoping for great news on here tomorrow!! Sigh, I love Austin but the traffic is getting so ridiculous! You really can't beat the music scene and food though, I'm pretty sure that's why we've stuck around We love it so much!

oooh yall I am loving all the lite n' breezy approaches, it is *really* inspiring. much more so than people in real life saying to calm down
@flowergarden: welcome!! congratulations on your marriage.
@MrsChickPea: I know, I heard their traffic is now second worst in the country after LA. I'm coming home for Christmas and all I want is to be able to find a fucking parking spot at Peter Pan Mini Golf.
@silva: hope it arrived in full force
@aprilfool: so great! which islands are you going to? hope you see a Honu
@marley: @nutella: thanks for the good thoughts

So. At 7 dpo, I POAS this morning. Wait wait wait- hear me out! Even though I knew it would be negative (and fully expect tests to be until 14/15 dpo), it had an oddly calming effect. I haven't decided yet whether I am going to test every day. But I have decided that if I want to test, I will. And I won't make myself feel guilty about it!

Thanks all for the welcomes and congratulations! Loved our wedding day -- and having all my supportive family & friends around made me want to add a new baby to the mix even more!
I can tell this is a very supportive group and I'm glad to have y'all by my side through this, and try to give my support as well!
@LCTBQE: eagerly awaiting your results!! hope everything works out for the best.
@PWNSTAR: I'm working on the not feeling guilty aspect of a lot of things! Definitely don't feel guilty about testing if it helps you to keep calm!

@flowergarden: Without these forums I would have nobody to talk to about TTC! I feel like people in real life don't understand.

@flowergarden: @marley: I have three awesome mama friends who are wonderfully supportive and can't wait for me to get a BFP! But is there really such as thing as too much support when you're TTC? Yeah, I didn't think so either!
clementine / 854 posts
@marley: I agree! I have decided not to tell anyone IRL that we're TTC because I don't want that added pressure, or to get the question "Are you pregnant yet?" all the time.

@Shizaz: pro tip! Wish I'd done that too.
I heard back from my OB--she says numbers are normal and everything is a go ️
I asked what my hcg count was and the number seemed low for 15DPO to me (70) but she was totally unconcerned, she said they would treat this as a normal positive. I might go in next week for another beta, and they'll see me at 6.5 weeks for a first sonogram assuming all goes well.

@LCTBQE: woohoo!! Congrats again - hope this was a bit of reassurance? You're one of the lucky ones!

@MrsB2012: get going lady!
@Shizaz: this is the exact reason we have not told anyone of our TTC journey so far. Only downside is that maybe if they knew, people would stop nagging us about it or making jokes. I know they mean well but now I know how upsetting it is to hear and would never ask a couple these things because you never know who might be struggling! Sometimes I'm one nag away from a friggin breakdown

@LCTBQE: haha!! I feel you! We have to plan our outings based on what day it is to avoid traffic meltdowns and crowds! Just go to Peter Pan on a Tuesday night..during mid winter.. at least it won't be during ACL, SXSW, or the FunFunFunFest lol! Do you live in LA now?

@LCTBQE: CONGRATULATIONS!! So exciting!! Are you feeling any symptoms?
Question: does anyone get cramping (lower right ovary area always for me) almost 12 days before AF continuing for about a week? I've gotten the cramps for the last year or so, so I don't think it's from being preg Never happened when I was younger, but since I turned 30....blah. Doctor wasn't concerned but it doesn't make much sense to me...I'm only 6dpo-ish and cramps have been going on for 2 days. TIA for thoughts!
pear / 1718 posts
@flowergarden: Fwiw, I have been having crampy feelings from 3 dpo until now (at 7 dpo). They have been pretty consistent/non-stop today (and on both sides)!
@LCTBQE: WOOT! So so happy for you!
nectarine / 2466 posts
@LCTBQE: so exciting, I'm so happy to hear that!
@mrschickpea: It makes me so sad when I hear people questioning someone else when they're going to have babies. I admit, I probably asked someone at one time or another. It wasn't until I started trying and I joined boards like this where I realized how common it is to have fertility issues. Or not even issues, but it sometimes taking longer. 2 of my really good friends had struggles ( one took 3 years, and one took just over 2 years) and I've seen them both in tears when people ask when they'll have kids. Unfortunately, people just don't realize the struggle!

@LCTBQE: Yay!!!! What great news We are off to Oahu. Two nights at Aulani and the rest in Waikiki.
@Shizaz: We are keeping it to ourselves for that reason as well.
So today is day cd17 with day 7 of watery cm and no ew in sight. Who knows what is going on!
