Mine nurses in a.m. before I go to work, in p.m. when I get home and once more before bed. This schedule works for us and I would be happy to keep going but....she is still nursing at night wakings, too, anywhere from 1-4 times a night. We are trying to sleep train but it isn't going well (read: mom and dad can't handle CIO).
What does your nursing schedule look like?

Her overnight wakeups have been changing recently so I'm wondering (praying) she's getting ready to drop it. I doubt it, I think it's a habit now, unfortunately. Oh well.

LO is 13 months and nurses:
when she wakes up (between 7-8a).
before first nap (10a-11a)
before 2nd nap (2p-3p)
before bed (8p)
occasionally one night waking (5a)
I'm a WAHM so I get to nurse her during the day-- if she's out for a walk with Grandma and takes a stroller nap, I don't nurse her at that time. And if I have to go into the office, then it's just the morning and bedtime sessions. I haven't pumped in awhile, but I'll take a drop or two of More Milk Plus if I feel like my supply is low.

@mediagirl: @HabesBabe: did you guys restrict night feedings or did LOs naturally reduce?
And can I just say that I am surprised to still be nursing? I thought I would quit but we got into a routine and just kept going.

Mine just made a year, and I'm a SAHM.
Right now we have 1-2 nursing sessions in the MOTN/morning, depending on whether or not he sleeps through. His normal wake up is between 10-10:30.
6-7AM (before wake-up)
10-10:30 (wake-up)
And that's really it for good, productive nursing sessions. Sometimes we'll get one before bed, but not often.
However, he does this drive-by nursing thing where he'll toddle up, try to yank my top down, and latch on (to both sides) for a few seconds each. I can't imagine he's really getting much, if anything, because I don't think he's on long enough to trigger my letdown...maybe just a few sips. He does that CONSTANTLY during the day, especially when he's teething (which is constant). By constantly I mean several times an hour. I think he's too distracted to do more during the day.

@lizzywiz: We sleep trained about a month ago (we went with CIO)-- before that, she was waking up 2-3x/night to nurse out of habit... so that's how we reduced those.
I'm a little surprised I'm still nursing, too! I don't think she's getting much, but then she'll pop off and some milk will dribble down her cheek-- so I guess it's still working!

@HabesBabe: Yes, but he doesn't go to bed until 9:30-10p. DH works later (last night he didn't get home until 1a) so we're all on a later schedule. This way when DH comes home a bit earlier (usually 3 days a week) they can see each other, and I can spend time with DH when he gets home without having to get up again in a few short hours.
His day normally looks like this:
10a: Wakeup
12-1:30/2p: Nap 1
5p-6/6:30: Nap 2
9:30-10: Bed (sometimes it's as late as 10:30/11, but 10 is the average)

LO is almost 16 months and nurses at bedtime, 1-2x overnight, and when she wakes up around 7. I would be fine with just 1 middle of the night session but she's teething right now so she's up more. We haven't sleep trained her and we co-bed & co-sleep. Trying to get her to sleep in her crib which is sidecarred to her bed. I'm thinking about moving her bedtime session up earlier so that she doesn't rely on the breast for bedtime sleep.

@lizzywiz: Ha, I can't claim credit for the term (it's what someone here called it when I started a thread about the practice...I don't remember who, though, and am too lazy to look it up) but it's such a perfect description for it!

@lizzywiz: she naturally reduced. I'm a WOHM so daycare helped here, too. On weekends, I just wouldn't offer for the other feedings. I can't believe I'm still nursing either!!!

Around 14 months we night weaned. We didn't really do CIO, but would leave her cry unless she was laying down nicely. If she layed down nicely, we would stay and rub her back until she fell asleep. It was a good compromise for us. Now at 2 years, I'm proud to say she goes to sleep after prayers and a kiss with no problems!

@lizzywiz: oops I just realized you asked about restricting night feedings. She just stopped waking as often so, when she would wake 2-3x/night, I wouldn't offer it at those other sessions unless she screamed bloody murder, then I gave in.

Any of you ladies still at it?
I keep meaning to wean and then it just, well, kind of doesn't happen, lol. My family is getting uncomfortable because they think she is too old (she is 18 months, now).
We are at 1 morning and 1 evening nurse, but she is adamant about both of them. I think it is going to be ugly when I finely try to wean for good.

Miss A is now thirteen months and still nursing 6-10 times a day but we have mostly dropped her motn feedings (although she still wakes!). I have noticed that A's food intake has started to increase so she might stop dropping feeds on perhaps?
We still enjoy nursing and I can see that we're going to be in it for the long haul
