My LO got his first teeth right before 9 months. Now, 4 months later, he has 7 teeth, and he's only bit me once, maybe twice! It hadn't been a problem for us at all, which was a relief, because I was apprehensive about that too! Hopefully, you'll escape unscathed too

My son didn't bite me until he was a toddler as I think my milk wa running out! And my daughter never bit me. Don't worry, I didn't even notice a change in latch.

@Running Elley: I was totally scared by this aswell. But at 9 months he's only bitten me twice in 1 day a few months ago and it hasn't happened since. I did notice that he nibbles towards the end of a feed when he's has enough so I'm quick to put it away then just incase!

He's only bitten me once since he got his first two teeth. I was totally worried about this too! Like @Mrs squirreld: he sometimes "nibbles" a bit when he's finished, but it doesn't really hurt.

Xander got his first teeth around 7 months as well. I'm not sure I really know they were coming or not, but after they were in, he definitely chomped down a couple times! But he only did it 2 or 3 times.

LO got his first two teeth at 4m old. They wasn't really any biting involved. I noticed though because my very sensitive nipples noticed every little change really quickly. Not to say it hurt - I just felt that something was different. My nipples were like a "new tooth seismograph".

My daughter bit me one time right after her second tooth came in, but it was when she was done with active eating and was just sort of 'lingering.' When they're eating, their tongues cover up their teeth.

After that one time, I started trying to notice when she was done eating and stop the nursing session and she never did it again.

I only got bitten a couple times after DS had four teeth. A firm "no biting!" and ending the nursing session ended that! Going strong at 14 months with no more biting.

LO got his first teeth around 5 or 6 months I think. He never bit me until several months later. It was pretty bad for a week or two, then got better by ignoring it and pulling away when he did. I found the key to stop biting was not to yelp in pain or have any big reaction as that would reinforce him. I would just calmly say "no biting"

DS got teeth around the same time. His bottom teeth I never had an issue with. He's now got 5 teeth and I've been bit 3 times, it's when he's distracted that he does it. I immediately set him down and he's figured out that he can't do that if he wants to nurse.

C would bit a few times with each of her first four teeth- like a few times a day for one or two days, then she would usually stop. These last two teeth she hardly did. With the first two I really was scared that t was going to be the end of enjoyable nursing, but it passed. I found I had to really watch her a when she seemed like she was almost done with one side an nt very actively swallowing, it was time to quickly switch her or end the session before she started playing around. After a few days of being extra mindful I could go back to normal.

I had one day after his four front teeth came in where LO would bite down and clamp his mouth. When I removed him he would cry and not re-latch. I cut one session short and pumped/bottle fed for one session. LO has not bitten me since, in almost a month, and he still has the four teeth at 10.5 months.

Zuma got her first tooth at 2 months. We sometimes get biting action going on but I don't think she understands no yet? I don't know. It's not bad enough. Yet haha!

My son bit me only twice. My recommendation is to not scream or to make sudden movements because your LO can get scared and refuse to latch. You have to try (I know...it's hard!!) to stay calm and just say No...No... and if she does it again just stop the feeding saying no. It worked for me! Good luck!
