I liked the up-down method of wearing a tank under everything (not necessarily a nursing tank) and a regular shirt over it. I'd pull the tank down and shirt up and very little was exposed but I still got to wear whatever I wanted.

yeah, I tried a whole bunch of different nursing clothes, and by far the best thing is a nursing tank under regular clothes. Then you just lift the regular clothes up, and nurse. And that also hides pp belly!

I feel you. It's 100 degrees here and I've just been wearing stretchy tank tops. I like the tami tanks from old navy and the tanks from target. I bought a couple sleeveless portofino shirts from express for when I want to look a little nicer. I figure I can unbutton it and pull down the tank.

I had to pump a lot so I liked wearing the thin strapped tank tops. I could pull the straps down under my arms so that I could put my pumping bra on but not have to take off my entire shirt. I wore them under everything. Annoying but it made pumping much easier.

I've been trying to buy regular shirts that button or stretch but I'm not so concerned about showing a little skin. I also keep an eye on the sale sections of places like seraphine, boob design, and figure 8 maternity online for some nicer pieces. I just hate that so much nursing stuff is "maternity/nursing" because I find that most maternity cuts tend to be unflattering postpartum and only make the "still look a little pregnant" situation worse.

@Little Misters Mom: I don't understand why everything is maternity/nursing. By the time I was ready to start wearing anything nice (nice=not a stretched out nursing tank with yoga pants) the maternity nursing tops looked silly on my still flabby but definitely not pregnant belly.

That said, @babybean404: I did wear a lot of just nursing tank and shorts/ yoga pants in the summer. It was too hot to deal with anything else. I like the old navy tami as well, super easy to pull down, and shirts with a button neck, like Henley style or whatever. I got a couple of cute ones at target (regular women's section, not maternity or nursing). In the fall the tank under whatever else will be better- I wore nursing tanks with long cardigans all fall and winter. And spring.

I lived in a "nursing friendly" dress from Target. Then I wore a nursing tank (and bra) and also did pull up and pull down method to minimize what could be seen.

I had one or two nursing tanks that were nice, don't get me wrong. But mostly, I just lifted my shirt up and unhooked the nursing bra. It took me a few weeks to realize I didn't have to take my whole shirt off (there was some sleep deprivation in there). So if you don't like the tanks, and can't find stuff - no sweat. Your regular shirts will do!

@Little Misters Mom: So far I've had no issues with it. If I remeber correctly they are double fabric on the neckline if that helps. So far all stretching was cured by a wash.
