I thought I would be much more squeamish about nursing in public than I am. After 2 months of doing it, it doesn't phase me. Like you, I wear a tank top and tshirt, and just pull one up and one down. Sometimes I will drape a blanket over us. I try to be discrete and private, but it's not a big deal to you. My husband is also uncomfortable with it. I tell him it's his issue, not mine.

I do depending on where I am. Church? Yes. The park? No. I have large breasts (cup size H) so it's almost impossible to be discreet when getting her latched. I also have to support my breast with my hand, so it's a lot more obvious that I'm nursing than it is for other moms. Also, some places it is physically more comfortable for me to just go nurse Her in my car so I so that too, but I never bother with a cover there.

No never unless it is to get my distracted baby to eat. (Just an A&A swaddle then).

I only use a cover when my dad or brother are nearby or when I was visiting work. But that was maybe 6 times ever.

I never had to really. But I probably would have used a cover.

Next baby I won't use one. Such a hassle and I'm currently due in July. Way to hot for a cover.

I did with #1 and prob will with #2. It's not for other people. I just feel less exposed and honestly, I just wanna feed my baby. Not sit in the middle of stupid judgemental looks and defend my actions because people are stupid.

As for me I quickly learned that if I tried using a cover lo would pull it down anyway.

I have large breasts (J ) which makes it difficult to maneuver things and be discreet. I find a nursing cover just further complicates things! I prefer to use my hand to support my breast and use my shirt to keep things discreet. Yes, it's very obvious that I am nursing, but much less so than if I was propped under a tent of fabric'

Eta: DH is very protective of my right to bf... Pretty sure he would take someone down if he heard them make a comment to me!

I did sometimes with my first but already with my second, I just threw a blanket over my shoulder to block the dad at the park the other day and otherwise from the other side was uncovered. I try to be strategic but it's more about not showing my stomach than my boob!

Never. Too bulky, was way too hot in the summer (when I was having to make these decisions for the first time), takes up too much space in the diaper bag, I doubt LO would tolerate it at this point, and really I just don't think it's necessary.

I don't want to get flamed for this, so please know I'm not judging anyone, just explaining based on myself. With my first, I breastfed everywhere, and although I'm a private person by nature and covered up, I felt very much the same way you do....boobs are for babies and have little sexual function. However, in the 3 years since the first go round, a large part of my development has been to reclaim my body and sexual awareness. In a way, that means reclaiming my breasts as well. Yes, I feed my baby with them, but they are also mine and a part of my sexual being. IF I have to feed in mixed public I am careful to always coverup. In a perfect world there would be more support for nursing women with relaxing, clean, readily available dedicated nursing rooms with waitstaff everywhere. Since that's not the case, I do what's necessary.

Never. I just pull my shirt up and latch on. I try to expose as little breast as possible, but I don't really care.

@Golden: I think there's no reason at all to flame you! If you feel more comfortable with a cover, for any reason, that's what works for you!

I used to, but gave up on it. I live in a pretty liberal area. I thought my husband would feel weird about it, but he didn't care.

I always felt more comfortable and relaxed with a cover so that's what I did, but I have no problem with ladies who don't use a cover.

I am all about the two shirt method. I am comfortable nursing in public but I hate when he keeps popping off! The one time I tried to use a blanket when he was older he was punching and kicking the blanket like a game. Much more obvious! Lol!

I like to use a cover, it makes me feel more comfortable. I love the ones I have gotten from Covered Goods.
