@starlitsky: 11 DPO. For all 4 of my pregnancies, my tests have looked like this at first (because I am a POAS addict). But it always showed up in the first 3-5 minutes. Though I did stop looking at this one at 3 minutes because I was in a hurry today. Come to think of it my first pregnancy at 9 DPO a line didn't show up until later too..... hmmmmm
@BandDmommy: I think I might have to test again tonight! I will definitely wait to call the doctor. I can always test on Thursday and then Monday.

@Dr. Pepper: Or test during lunch. I'm a believer in if there's a line a line will show up no matter what time of day. If your 11 DPO you shouldn't need FMU.

@Ajsmommy: wow, crazy indeed...good luck for testing day. And BFNs suck, so I would hold out as long as possible! Good luck & hope appointment tomorrow goes well!
@JoJoGirl: boo, I'm so sorry I'll be here next month too.
I am sad because of my three friends I know who miscarried, they all got pregnant the very next month! It's so hard to not compare!

@JoJoGirl: I'm sorry lady. Somehow someway, I am emotional better than expected after this m/c, but I was exactly where you are with the first m/c - bitter, every day was both eternity long and felt like losing months of time. The unseen aftermath of m/c is the worst. οΈ

@Dr. Pepper: that is so definitely positive!! But go ahead with another test to believe it. I had an early test that had a way lighter line on it after I threw it in the trash and dug it out 30min later, and that was my son.

@Nutella: I'm not dealing well at ALL with this. I was so sure I'd be pregnant this month, for all the same reasons you said.

@runnerd: YES to the 'losing months'. I am getting so stressed/sad at the thought of a winter baby (like a death sentence in Boston), a HUGE gap between my kids, and me being too old to deal at all with sleep deprivation. I do not want to be 40 with a newborn.
clementine / 795 posts
@JoJoGirl: hugs to you! By winter baby, do you mean getting pregnant in the winter or having a due date in the winter?
apricot / 461 posts
@runnerd: @JoJoGirl: I also can commiserate with the "losing months". I wanted a March baby my whole life. I was thrilled to find out I was due March 17- that was pretty much a guaranteed March baby. Now, I'm looking at the very end of June (I'll most likely deliver in July because historically everyone goes long in my family and my son was 2 weeks late). I wanted my kids 2 years apart in school. Right now they will be 3 years apart and if it doesn't work out that makes it 4 years! I try to look at it in a positive way- then I'll only have 1 in college at a time.
The hardest part for me is my work friend who is 8 weeks along now. Our 2 year olds were born 2 days apart. I want so badly to be thrilled for her and I am, but I am also bitter and resentful. Its terrible. She wasn't even trying when I got pregnant and was due in March, but now she's having a early May baby. Grrrr.

Well I am hesitant to even post this, it's so early. FX this is a sticky baby! 9 DPO

@starlitsky: Due date in winter. Going into labor during a crushing snow storm, not being able to leave my house with a newborn for months because of sub-zero temps, no walks outside (all I did EVERY day with my colicky first)...
@runnerd: HOLY MOLY CONGRATS!

@Dr. Pepper: that looks positive to me! I would take another test though to confirm before calling ghe doctor.
@runnerd: congrats!!!
@JoJoGirl: I'm sorry

Thank you for the well wishes ladies! I'm pretty down, I figured we would be announcing by Christmas at the latest, and now with having long cycles (45 ish days) I won't be able to test again until the end of November. Trying to be positive and hoping OPKs make a difference!
@Dr. Pepper: Awesome! Looking forward to your updated test, I won't move you quite yet... but thinking I will be soon.
@runnerd: Ahhhhhhhh! Amazing! Congrats!

Thanks for all the congrats!! I'm trying to not let my nerves get the best of me, but the excitement has already turned to fear of the unknown since I'm 1 of 3 for previous successful pg. trying to stay positive.
apricot / 461 posts
@runnerd: I had two miscarriages. I was extremely excited and hopeful for each of them. Then I got pregnant with my son and it was complete fear until the day he was born. I let all that go and we got pregnant again. Once again I was thrilled- then miscarriage. I'm pretty sure that if I'm actually pregnant again this time, I'll have the same experience as I did with my son- constant fear. I really wanted a pregnancy that I was excited about. I'm shooting 1 out of 4 so far.
I'm comforted by data and information and I work in a medical profession. So I always get a copy of my hCG levels, progesterone levels, ultrasound reports from the radiologists, etc. That helps reassure me, but I still can't shake my losses. My heart is permanently guarded now.

@Dr. Pepper: looks positive to me too! I'd try doing a hold and taking another test asap!

@runnerd: and @Dr. Pepper: Yay!!
Hopefully you can get a nice solid line tomorrow!
I never did get my EWCM, so I don't know if I ovulated. I hope I did and just didn't notice it because it was earlier than when I was closely checking. Luckily we BD'd a few days early too just in case! I am trying to talk myself out of testing tomorrow morning. My initial plan was to test Saturday, but I was really closely checking and I didn't have EWCM during the right days to be 10dpo this weekend. However, seeing a stark white test is so weirdly upsetting. Do I really want to do that to myself, then have to go to work? Last time (after testing 12dpo), I cried the whole way to work. It's so hard not to pull the trigger though knowing I could now be 9-12dpo! I have 3 tests left. WWYD?
I can't tell you how nice it is to read this thread. Even though I don't respond to everyone, I have read every post. I don't understand losses because I haven't had one, but my heart goes out to all who have. I can't even imagine the devastation it must cause. It's nice to see some BFPs and to hear stories of "maybe next month". Most of us are going or have gone through the same or similar situations. It helps me feel so much less alone in this crazy TTC journey! Thank you ladies!
persimmon / 1071 posts
@Mrs. Peanut: I feel the same way, this thread is great, there isn't anyone I can talk to in real life about how hard it is TTC, it's nice to know we're not alone in all of this.
If I were you I would wait until the weekend to test, I'm finding it harder and harder to see a negative test so the longer you can wait the better.

Yall I have only been gone a day and there's so much happening-- @Dr. Pepper @runnerd, great news!! Am beginning to understand how scary this is, especially since you've both had multiple losses, but I'm so hopeful for you
@Marley yes, think I'm going to get the CB advanced for next time. Do you use the monitor and like it? I'm charting and using wondfos (and the regular CB opk's when the wondfos start to show color). I read in TCOYF that opk's don't work for everyone like you mentioned, but all I'm getting this month are evap lines, not even a little color.
@Dr. Pepper thanks for telling me about your blank opk's- I'll keep trying just in case I get a bright one like you did.
@tiramisu thanks for the warm welcome to the WTF club In past cycles, the positive or near-positive wondfos correlate exactly with my EWCM. Definitely haven't ovulated this cycle, though. I think you can still get patches of EW in anovulatory cycles, which is what I suspect is going on from my wackadoodle temps. At best, it'll be really late.
@nutella thanks for the support I'm so frustrated and feeling cheated--like you and @jojogirl, I thought the consolation prize for the m/c was the super ovulation, and my chart is starting to look exactly like an anovulatory chart. I called my OB this morning and she didn't call me back, probably because she has better things to do than talk me off the ledge.
@jojogirl @Dr. Pepper also trying to stop obsessing about the months slipping away, how perfect that April baby would have been, how I don't want a baby once it's cold out here in NYC, and how my absolute best case scenario was July but now who knows when. The work friend due in May sounds really tough⦠Ugh.

@Mrs. Peanut: I fully agree! I have no one in real life (apart from DH) who I can really share this level of crazy so I'm pretty glad I can release the cray on here where there's no judgement (hopefully - haha)! I never in a million years would have predicted TTC to be such a rollercoaster ride! I feel totally envious of those who get pregnant on their first go, even one or two months of negatives is such a bummer...and with a mc, you lose MONTHS in one go! I'm now looking at a winter baby if I get lucky in the next few months. But I know I shouldn't worry!
