I had infertility issues in the past (to conceive DS), but since I've had the loss, I think I won't put this up. I don't want people to think I'm already worrying about TTC. Plus, most people didn't even know about the problems I've had in the past. Since dd was conceived surprisingly easy, I don't even want to open any kind of can of worms that might crop up.

I keep looking at the FB cover pages you linked to. I want to but I don't know if I'm brave enough.
I think a lot of people are under the impression that it was easy for us because we'd been married for less than a year but I already knew I had ovulation issues and then DH was tested and he had issues as well. ETA - we were lucky that our first IVF cycle was a success. I will be 32 weeks tomorrow.

On the Resolve website they several good suggestions about using social media this week to show support.
They have an option to add a "twibbon" (badge) to your Facebook and Twitter pics. I think I may do that and use the status update they provide that says what the badge is about. I liked some of the wording provided by other bees on your previous thread. I may borrow some of that and post a few status updates throughout the week.

The Circle + Bloom meditations really helped me work through the mental aspect of this difficult journey. They have a discount available during NIAW of 35% off. I highly recommend their recordings if you're into that kind of thing. I wasn't sure I would like them at first, but they really provided me some time to just breathe, and focus on my thoughts. I found them to be pretty relaxing - even so much so that I fell asleep sometimes during the sessions

@sweetooth: I agree! They've really helped me getting in a more positive "head space" this past month and a half. And for the first cycle ever, I actually O'd on cd14, so maybe it did something

A friend of mine posted about fertility awareness week and it took all of my courage just to like it. I too wish I was brave enough to post something, but I think I would just feel too vulnerable. I've had too many insensitive comments as is. On the flip side I want to be brave enough to educate people on the subject.

So day 2 went by of infertilty awareness week went by and I still haven't posted anything. I wrote this heartfelt post to out myself to my female friends. As I was editing it, it sounded a little preachy. So I ended up not posting it. I want to post something so bad. It's like everyday, I get this moment of strength and think 'F' it! Let's post something.' Then when I think think through it in my head, that's when I chicken out. I think I know my weakness. I'm afraid of what people will think. I'm a people pleaser and I'm always thinking of what people think of me.

@sweetooth: Thanks for posting that! I've been considering getting a session from them, but I can't decide which one makes the most sense to get (pcos or iui versions). I'll have to make up my mind before the discount expires!!

@alie: Looking at the two, I think the PCOS program seems to have a lot of goodies specific to PCOS, whereas the IUI program seems to have a lot of overlap with IVF. It's nice to have the extra sessions for when you want to do an extra meditation or you want to mix things up!

@Leialou: Did you get any likes? Also, did you post it to your male and female friends? I have coworkers and old bosses as FB friends and that's why I'm leaning towards posting only to my female friends.

Eta: it's my DH's college friend in case that was confusing. We see them a couple times a year.

@Leialou: I think your post reads really well. I'm glad you've gotten some good responses and support. I deactivated my FB account back in December when I couldn't handle any more baby announcements. I don't have a way to reach a large group all at once right now - but I have thought about trying to reach out to my friends that I feel I have shut out over the past several months. I'm going to do my best to write to them this week.
@alie: I'd say get the one that applies most to where you're at right now, in this moment. If you enjoy it, you can get another one.

Ok, so I think I'm ready to post. I decided to create a list of my closer friends and mostly female friends. I think some of my male friends from high school do.not.need.to.know or nor do I care that they know! haha. I think saying this to 95% of my female FB friends will help me a lot.

I know there is a lot to be nervous about but I encourage you to share your stories. The only caution I give you is that it may open people up to asking you about your journey so far. For me, talking about it with people who cared about me seemed to help. @Leialou: What you posted was lovely! @bluestriped bee: You are strong enough to post it. I can tell that you are passionate about it but its just nerves. I know you can do it!
