Sterilite ice cube trays from Target are the perfect size. I store my bags that are frozen flat straight up and down in them and it helps me rotate my stash easily. $3!

I put them in Sterilite "shoe box" storage containers like this:

but I get them at Target. A 6 pack for $5-8 depending on if they are on sale. The frozen bags fit perfectly laying on their side. Then I can stack these containers on top of each other. I put painters tape on the outside and write the date ranges on it so I know which box to open up first. I also write the # of bags I have in each box so I know how much milk is in there. I usually get 23-26 bags in each box depending on how flat they are.
I open the oldest box first and put all those bags in a sterilite ice cube bin (also from target) (like @grizz: mentioned) so that I can quickly grab the next bag without having to open a box up.

I use gift bags and it works great for me. I read about this trick on HB, and used this tutorial:

Like @autumnlove:, I put them in freezer gallon sized bags labeled with the date of the oldest milk and number of bags of each oz (e.g. 3-4oz, 5-6oz, etc.). Then I put them standing up side by side in a reusable grocery bag in the chest freezer so I just pull out the oldest bag on the far right side.

I use the Sterilite Ice Cube Bins - they are the PERFECT size to be able to store the bags straight up (after being frozen flat). LOVE them.

Though you can find them cheaper - don't buy off Amazon.

Lansinoh breast pad boxes are the perfect size for the bags, I used those to line up my milk by date.
