My first and third cycle off BC were 90+ days long. Second and 4th+ cycles were normal (which for me is still 42-49 days. Apparently there are other issues besides just the long cycles off BC though, since I'm on month 20 of TTC. Hopefully when you get back to normal, it will happen quickly though! Unfortunately, there's just no way of knowing until you get there.

Don't feel so upset yet! It's totally normal for your body to need a few cycles (or more) to regulate itself. I wouldn't put so much pressure to TTC right now, esp I'm not sure if BD EOD is doable with an unknown cycle length! I hope your cycles regulate soon so you can get into the full swing of TTC!

I just wanted to say that just because your cycle is long doesn't necessarily mean you didn't ovulate. I've had some very long (40-60+) cycles the last 4 months, but I've ovulated every time (confirmed with temp raise and OPKs). So I wouldn't start stressing yet that you aren't ovulating.

How long have you been temping? For me it took a few months before I could really understand my charts and temperatures. I also discovered that temping orally just doesn't work for me, and my chart is all over the place, but temping internally works so much better and is a lot more consistent.

As for using OPKs, I just start a few days after my period ends (CD 10) and take them every day until I get a positive. It takes a lot when you have a long cycle, but that way you don't miss it. Now that I know I don't ovulate until somewhere around CD 20, I start a little later.

@MrsADS: I didn't chart. But I will say that my first cycle off of BCP was only 23 days which really freaked me out. My second cycle, I got pregnant! Hang in there! Your body will adjust and you'll be just fine!!
