I took an OPK test on Monday and got the smiley face indicating a I'm ovulating. However, today, I noticed EW CM... I don't recall what type of CM I had on Monday, but I thought you only get EW CM when you're ovulating. Am I missing something?? I'm confused. Did I or didn't I ovulate on Monday??

I never understand this stuff! Even though I chart and track everything when TTC, it's just all so confusing! My plan (when the time comes) is to just make sure to get in a lot of sexy time so we can't miss it.

I believe the OPK's are to pinpoint the 24 to 48 hr window of the hormone surge for when O should happen. You probably didn't O right on Monday but would have within a day or two of then.

@Alivoo01: I'm going through ewcm / ovulation confusion too!! Usually I get the smiley face on CD10. I got NO smiley face on MOnday, but did get my 'usual' ewcm that 'usually' accompanies my smiley face.
Smiley face arrived CD12! But no ewcm.
I've been looking this up, and they say that some women get it before O, some after, so it's all still just confusing. I would just trust the OPK.

Well crap! We BD on Monday, but didn't the past 2 days due to some things... Oi vey! Now I know what TTC is so stressful. Hope I didn't miss the window. Guess we'll find out in a few days. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I think you O'ed on Monday. Between my three cycles, I noticed that my CM changes weren't all that reliable! And the third cycle when we got our BFP, EWCM didn't show up at all unlike the previous two months! I'd say go with your OPK test!

@Alivoo01: Try not to stress! We only BD'd on actual O day, and 2 days after that. Got pregnant that way.

@Alivoo01: I know right!!! I wish I didn't start TTC with all of this OPK business cause it makes it so confusing/stressful! But I'm very type A. No way I can just 'let it happen when it happens'

@highwire: This sounds promising. We didn't baby dance yesterday, which would have been the 2 days after, but we did everyday prior so hopefully one of the swimmers got it.

@Alivoo01: I bet it did! I was so sure we were out for the month because we didn't manage to DTD anytime leading up to O because I was really sick with a cold, but it worked out just fine
