I want to start packing our hospital bag and an overnight bag for DS for when we have baby #2. Any tips for packing DS's bag? I don't want to forget something obvious.
What all did you pack for LO1 when you were in the hospital with LO2?

Not sure which board to put this post… I think I picked the wrong one

I need to do this too. So far I'm thinking:
Pjs
2 full changes if day clothes
Tooth brush + toothpaste
Teddy that he sleeps with
AA swaddle that he still sleeps with
Bjorn travel crib, depending on who is going to stay with
I feel like I must be missing things though.

I need to start thinking about this as well. Our LO will be 19 months when baby #2 is born and we're taking her to stay with some friends who have a three year old and live a few blocks away from the hospital. So far, we'll be packing:
Portacot (pack-n-play)
Lovey
Two stuffed animals she sleeps with in her cot
Her aquarium (attaches to her cot and plays music)
Several nuks, even though she only sleeps with them occasionally and never uses them during the day
Pram - in case they need to go somewhere with her
Her car seat - we'll take that out of the car and leave it with them when we drop her off in case they need to put her in the car and go somewhere
Several of her favourite books - probably 10-12 as she loves her books
A grocery bag with her favourite foods (cereal, puffs, peanut butter, jam, etc)
Three pairs of pjs (even though she won't be there that long hopefully!)
Three outfits and a pair of shoes
A stack of nappies (30 nappies in a stack) and a pack of wipes (80 wipes in a pack)
Photo album - she has a little album filled with pictures of our little family and extended family that she loves looking through!)
Her first aid kit with the appropriate Tylenol, Ibuprofen, etc in there
Hair brush and clips (her hair is always in her face if not tied back)
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Bibs, spoons, and cups - she's not too particular about plates or bowls
Travel size baby shampoo/cleanser although if it's only on night, I won't expect them to give her a bath
Swimming suit, swim nappy, and towel (they have a backyard pool and the mum is a children's swim instructor)
I'll also fill her little backpack with some of her favourite toys
That's what I've got for right now but I still have another 11 weeks or so to think about it and amend my list as necessary!
ETA: yes, I clearly am the crazy mum who has never left her child alone for a night and is totally going overboard on packing. I just can't bear the thought of her being upset though whilst I'm gone and knowing there is nothing I can do about it!

@lamariniere: @Ree723: Thanks for your lists! I am packing bags tomorrow. Good thoughts on medicines/first aid. My mil wouldn't have any on hand. And I need to remember sippy cups too!

@Ree723: good idea with some favorite books too. I want DS to have all he needs too!
