My test looks lighter today. Digital says positive, 1-2. This can't be happening again??

@winniebee: My FRER day 2 was lighyer than day 1 but dried much darker?!
I sorry I am sure it is so scary! Prayers!

@winniebee: usually tests are much darker when they are dried. So maybe yours from yesterday is looking dark because it's dry now?! Everything crossed for you

  12. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@Mrs. Champagne: maybe.... but I'm a psycho and took a pic of the test yesterday and it still seems a hair darker. I know I need to stop. I just can't. I'm assuming the worst.

@knittylady: zero sign of it So far.

@winniebee: sending positive vibes your way. I know it is super scary. Try not to judge the darkness of the lines just between yesterday and today. Wait and see what tomorrow or the next day brings.

  15. skipra

    pomegranate / 3350 posts

@winniebee: Are you even 4 weeks? My digital didn't go to 2-3 until like 4.5 weeks. And those FRER are awful at judging darkness! Every time I expected mine to be much darker but it took days to really see a difference. I'm holding out hope for you!

  16. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@skipra: I guess not. I was thinking since I am due today I was but I guess not 4 weeks until tomorrow. I'm sure I sound like a total psycho

  17. Mrs. Champagne

    coconut / 8483 posts

@winniebee: oh I should add my digital didn't go to 2-3 until like 5 weeks? It was 1-2 when I tested a few days after my misses period and then 2-3 a full week later.

  18. Applesandbananas

    pomegranate / 3845 posts

@winniebee: hang in there. Your labs will give you better answers than the darkness of FRERs, those new ones are dicey

  19. knittylady

    pomegranate / 3212 posts

@winniebee: you don't sound psycho at all. You've been through the ringer. I'd be doing the exact same thing!

@winniebee: 1-2 sounds right to me (because you're not 5 weeks pregnant yet!). 💗 Eta: fwiw, if it wasn't good news, I don't think the digi would have picked it up/shown positive. It sure didn't with my c/p.

  21. Trailmix

    nectarine / 2152 posts

@winniebee I would not worry about what the digital says, 1-2 weeks pregnant is technically before you even ovulated! It just means that you're early on in the pregnancy. I think you'd need to be at least 5 weeks before having '2-3 weeks' pop up! Hoping for the best for you!

  22. T.H.O.U.

    wonderful clementine / 24134 posts

@winniebee: celebrate! The digital is positive and having it say 1-2 is correct. That means you are 3-4 weeks pregnant! Those tests are very conservative so that sounds absolutely correct.

  23. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

So it's not the digital that seems concerning to me...1-2 seems correct (although wouldn't it be awesome if it said 2-3?!) I just worry that the line is the same or maybe even lighter than yesterday. I know the answer isn't in these FRERs but I just can't help it!

  24. yellowbird

    honeydew / 7303 posts

@winniebee: can you try taking a frer this afternoon and see what the line looks like? Sometimes they show up better with afternoon pee. I always tested in the evening and they seemed darker

  25. pastemoo

    cantaloupe / 6146 posts

@winniebee: frer does weeks by age of embryo, it won't switch till at least 15dpo. Sending you luck for a sticky baby! And the line can be lighter if you take two at the same time, the tests are imperfect and not quite quantitative

  26. mrsjd

    clementine / 777 posts

@winniebee: I was probably 5 weeks before I got a 2-3 on a digital. I tested 13, 14, 15 dpo and the line was exactly the same each time. I'm now 11 weeks 2 days. As long as the line is strong (and yours is) and not getting lighter, I think you're doing great. I totally get your worry though and I'd be peeing every day if I was you too. You have been through a lot and I know this is tough!

    hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts

I've read that the color of the line doesn't always mean anything after a certain point but I don't know how true that is. My thought is that it looks like a fantastic test. I've seen a lot of people get negatives on the digital tests when they get a positive on the FRER (I guess they're more sensitive) so I think that's AWESOME that you got a positive! today, you are pregnant, and this baby is going to stick

  28. coopsmama

    cantaloupe / 6059 posts

@winniebee: Are they the new FRERs? My FRERs stopped getting darker this time around 14dpo which freaked me out and then I took one at 19dpo and finally it was darker than the control line. That was not the case with the old FRERs for me and my other pregnancies.

  29. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@coopsmama: yes it's the new FRER and I hate them. The test line is on different spots test to test ...

  30. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@yellowbird: way to encourage excessive POAS! I have only one of the curved FRER left and want to save for tomorrow I think. But of course I have some other tests so did a FR rapid result just now and it's definitely positive and the line looks just as dark as the FRER from the last few days, maybe a little darker even. I've read the FR rapid results are much less sensitive, so I'm taking it as a good sign. One that I needed today!

  31. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@winniebee: I think you're pregnant, mama! The rapid result is a great sign--those have totally freaked me out before because they're not super sensitive. Don't mess around with those curved FRERs anymore! I'd actually do like @coopsmama: and not use your last one until mid- to late week this week. Although believe me....easier said than done, I know!

  32. pwnstar

    pear / 1718 posts

@winniebee: Thats's a beautiful progression (on a less sensitive test, no less). 🎉🎉🎉

  33. coopsmama

    cantaloupe / 6059 posts

@winniebee: yeah I feel like with the new ones trying to get a progression of lines is nearly impossible!! So frustrating. I think your lines do look great though - I'm full of so much hope for you and crossing everything!

@coopsmama: that's really helpful to hear. Especially since I disregarded everyone's advice and used that dumb FRER today! The last 3 days all look the same. Labs this morning so I'll at least know a piece of it today.
