@KJfromNJ--both my husband and I work at home, and it is helpful when TTC!
@AnonMom--I did think about being big and pregnant in the summer, although it hasn't stopped us from trying. It gets really hot and muggy here, and I always feel sorry for pregnant during those times.

@KJfromNJ: I totally giggled like a little kid while reading about your hubby's place of employment. haha! That's still awesome you get to work from home and it works well for the two of you. And congrats on your weight loss! That's no small feat by any means!!
If AF shows her ugly face this weekend, this upcoming cycle is cycle 8 (month 9) for us. I have long cycles, but have a clean bill of health from the ob this week.

@Alivoo01: Thanks so much for the weight loss congrats- it's been a long journey but I'm determined to keep at it. And I am keeping my FX for you for an awesome sticky baby soon!!!!

Well, I think I'm out. I've had some spotting yesterday and this morning, and that's usually how AF starts.
Ugh, I really thought this was our month.

Out for good for October. Put me on for a 11/29 POAS date- hope we will all be extra thankful this Thanksgiving!

Hey guys, I thought I'd check in with an update. I've been doing a monitored Clomid cycle, staring with 50mg with didn't work. I got bumped up 100mg and had 1 follicle at almost 12mm on Wednesday, and today it was close to 15mm. I'm waiting to hear from the RE's office for what the next steps are. I'm guessing they'll give it another couple days and have me come in for my millionth ultrasound and b/w, and hopefully I'll be able to trigger soon.

@MrsCB: FX for you!
I am starting to think I am out for this month...no symptoms AT ALL so far (although I know it's still early - planning to POAS 11/7), and my nipples were super sore over last weekend but now are back to normal, so I am guessing that is when I O'd, but between my being sick and then the hurricane (we have been without power/water/etc since Monday in Manhattan), we have barely BD's at all since then. =( So I am doubtful, but I suppose you never know....

@CHARCOLE2011--I hope your power is quickly restored. what a mess.
@JAMIELEE--I'm sorry to hear that.
@MISS_OLIVIA--welcome! I'm a newbie, too.
I'm tentatively out for this month....I order my tests online, and they arrived on Thursday. At 12 dpo, I thought, "Why not?" BFN is why not! I'm expecting temp drops and should start my period on Sunday. A little disappointed, but not by much....I didn't really expect to get pregnant this first go round. I'll update on Monday and will keep watching this thread for hopefully lots of good news!

Oh I just realized my POAS day is Election Day. Maybe I can think of a funny way to tell DH the news (if there's anything to tell).
I almost caved today and bought a bunch of tests.
@happygal you never know! When I was pregnant with DS I had no idea--no symptoms, nada--until my period didn't show up.

Oh poo, the impatience in me POAS this am. Took (what felt like) 10 minutes for the control line to appear... and that's the only one that did. So we shall see what Monday brings... AF is due!
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
@Ash: It's so hard not to give in! I finally ordered some Wondfos so I wouldn't feel guilty about POAS too early (you know, since the dollar store ones were really eating into the budget!). But I got the free super saving shipping and they aren't even going to arrive for a few more weeks, so I'll probably pee on the remaining dollar store tests first anyway!
honeydew / 7909 posts
@Foodnerd81: I have 5 frers left and I usually only poas once a month because I can't wait for AF (then she comes once I test LOL). So I'm covered for a while. In August, when I got my BFP, we weren't truly 'trying' so I didn't test til 5 days after AF was due. Now I test days before. Patience truly is a virtue.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
Well I thought I would be 10/31 (which I did and was a BFN) but here I sit on 11/3 at 15dpo, no AF, and a BFN on cd14. I think I'll hit up the dollar store and POAS every morning till AF shows or a BFP shows.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@foodnerd81: I got pregnant third month of bc and first month TTC (which I was 32 day cycles) and mc'd at 7 weeks. Since then my cycles have been inconsistent with an rather consistent LP of 13 days (and one 14 day). I thought I was out and had no hope after getting another BFN 14dpo but this morning when AF hadn't showed I got a little hopeful. I think I'll test again tomorrow (16dpo) if AF isn't here when I wake up.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@ladybee: What have you been testing with? Have you tried a digital or are you just using wondfos? I would LOVE it for Jenny Renny to be right for you and you get another 16dpo BFP!
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@marionberry: I've been testing with dollar store tests. Are digital better? Today I bought the target brand early results and I think I'm going to test again tomorrow with one of those. I do have a box of digital. I could try one of those if they're better. TTC girl problems: having a stash of every kind of hpt.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@ladybee: No the target early result tests should be great! I just don't know how much I trust those dollar tree tests and wondfos sometimes. And you're totally right! The closet in my bathroom has like 4 kinds of lube, CBEFM sticks, multiple types of hpts and opks and tampons haha. I hope no one ever comes to visit and looks in there!
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@marionberry: ugh it's official, my hopes are up. Expect a vent tomorrow if AF shows or if I get another BFN.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@ladybee: Just as long as you're ready for mine when it comes. It's always good to have hope! And when you don't I have plenty for you!

@marionberry: of course ill be ready for yours! That's what friends are for! Hopefully neither one of us has any more disappointment !

@ladybee: Good luck!!
I'm having major dull cramps and backache today. Still 5 days until my AF is supposed to show... I bet it is coming early to ruin my trip next week. Boo!
grapefruit / 4862 posts
@alayaya: I have a trip this coming week too so I'm wondering which way it will go. I just tried to test early (for shame, ugh) but the test was defective (thanks, Equate brand.) But I think the saying goes, it's just like washing your car makes it rain... testing when AF is late means you get AF 12 hours later! LOL
honeydew / 7687 posts
just wanted to pop in and say I hope that yall get some positive pee sticks soon!!
kiwi / 629 posts
@KJfromNJ: So true! I once tested only to have my AF show up 20 minutes later. What a waste.... Good luck to you! Lame about the defective test, I would be so frustrated!
grapefruit / 4862 posts
@alayaya: thanks! My FX for me and EVERYONE in this group! And I would be frustrated if it wasn't the 88 cent tests from Walmart lol.
Isn't it funny how many babies are probably going to be found out about within the next few weeks due to the power outages in NY/NJ? Lots of no-power babies since that's all there is to do!
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
@KJfromNJ: I really hope you are right about the no power babies! Even though I never lost power, I'm still hoping for one too.
Good luck to you ladies testing!

@LadyBee--I'm so sorry! I wish I had ideas for you about what's going on. I'm betting some women here will have words of advice for you, but I just wanted to say that I'm sorry you're going through a confusing and frustrating situation.

@ladybee ugh how annoying! let's hope you're one of those people with SUPER late BFPs. I've stalked enough charts/pics of HPTs to know those exist. fingers crossed for you!
kiwi / 629 posts
@ladybee: Ugh! That sucks! I was once 5 days late with several bfns. When I finally did get my af it was both a relief and a shock at the same time. I'm still holding out hope for you though.
I'm pretty sure this will not be our month. I'm just hoping af stays away until Wednesday night at least.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
Thanks ladies! I have zero hope right now. I'm more frustrated that I am now just sitting and waiting instead of moving ahead with my next cycle.
Would you/Should I call my doctor? I don't want to be one of those silly women but come on! I was thinking if 20DPO rolled around with no AF and BFN that I would call and request b/w. Thoughts?
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
@ladybee: I think bloodwork at 20 dpo is reasonable. I also don't think it will come to that. I think it will resolve itself one way or another Are you sure of o day? Sorry if you already said that.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@foodnerd81: I temped and used the CBE fertility monitor so I'm pretty sure of O day.
@Mrs. Jacks: I decided that I would not temp during the TWW to try and get rid of the stress. hahaha jokes on me I did take a random temp a few days ago that was low.
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@ladybee: Of course, the one time you are not temping... Gah!
