What did you save post pumping? I have three sets of breast shields, a couple sets of tubing, bags, and a piston. I'm definitely saving the piston, but I don't know about the other pieces. Do you get new breast shields for each baby like you would new bottles?

I have saved it all and will reevauate whenever I get round to having another baby.

Same as @plantains. I hope I can just sanitize everything and use it all again with baby #2.

I would save all of it if I planned to breastfeed again. When it came time to use it the next time, I'd inspect everything and decide whether to keep or toss it.

@mrs. tictactoe: I have an Avent bottle sterilizer that will fit everything. So I can definitely sterilize everything for a future LO.

@highwire: Oh, I forgot to mention that I have an unopened package of membranes as well. So, I can throw out the used membranes from my breast shields.

I saved everything. I use a Lansinoh Pro double electric pump and it is a closed system so the milk never comes in contact with the tubes

@Mrsbells: Ohh interesting. I used a 2007 Medela PIS borrowed from my SIL, so I'll have to sterilize the tubing.

I tossed the tubing and used membranes. The rest I sterilized before storing and planned to resterilize before use if I plan on reusing it all. I wanted new tubing for sure. I needed the super small breastshields later in my pumping journey and they were HTF in the first place so I'm not sure about tossing them. I also saved all my unused bags (I really stocked up and have 100's left) for next baby. I have a PISA.
