Ugh, I find school pictures so annoying! I never want to buy them, but then they come home and I find them irresistibly cute. I usually buy a few, send them to the grandparents and put one up at work. I was thrilled when our elementary school said we had to preorder, so I just didn't send the form with her on picture day.

I will say that my mom has every single school photo for both me and my sister framed and hanging on the stairway leading upstairs. I loved it as a kid.

I always buy the smallest package of my favorite pose. I give each set of grandparents a copy and our siblings (my kids aunts and uncles). On the years my oldest had a picture but my youngest did not (she was home with a nanny), I took my own pic of her and sent them out together. Those pictures were on everyone’s fridge for at least that year. I saw it on my sisters fridge and they live 5 states away, lol.

I’ve never had a chance to look at the pictures before buying. I have usually bought the smallest package, which was one 4x6 individual, and one 5x7 class picture, and I was very happy. It was only $15 and they always came out so cute. So this year I got the next package up and it’s the first year I didn’t like the picture as much from the same photographer (my daughter wouldn’t smile, not his fault!). So this year I put a 5x7 of each kid in a frame, sent grandparents wallets, and stuck the rest on a shelf somewhere. I’d like to get a photo album of some sort to store them in.

If they turn out cute, I buy them. I figure I never ever print pictures -- all of my pics are going to just die on an iCloud someday and our kids will have nothing! So if I have a few cute pics of them printed out, maybe they'll have memories of childhood. LOL.

I have bought the cheapest pack with at least three pictures. I give one to each set of grandparents, and keep one to put up ourselves. The one last year from preschool was really cute, and we got to choose from a few options. The one from kindergarten this year is not great, he has a cheese face, not an authentic smile, and we only had one choice. We are too lazy to get professional pictures taken with any regularity, or even to get prints of regular pictures, so I figure it is better than nothing.

I buy them and send one to each set of grandparents and aunts/uncles. Then I keep one in a frame and put a wallet with DS’s school keepsakes.

I like to see the progression and plan to purchase at least a few pictures for each year of school. Plus I like that out school doesn’t use props or cheesy backgrounds.

Our school changed to Life Touch this year so I just ordered the class picture and the digital. Previously I just buy the cheapest package that has a class picture.

I always buy them. It's great to be able to look back on class pictures throughout the years. Although I always take pictures of her myself, there's just something special about comparing pictures taken in a similar way at exactly the same time each year.

This year, the company tried to simplify their packages, which meant that you couldn't choose your sizes. But since it comes with a class photo and yearbook, it would be cheaper than buying the package, rather than buying individually. I now have a ginormous solo head shot of my 6 yo and dozens of various other sizes that I have no idea what to do with.
