Did you get side effects from progesterone? Besides the leaking (which was gross) my normally dry skin was normal while I was on it. Also my hair got super greasy. I would wash it in the morning and it would look oily by early afternoon. That was super annoying.

I didn't notice any side effects other than gross leaking. Blech.

Ohh my hair had been super greasy lately, I didn't even consider it could have been the progesterone. The leaking drives me nuts! The other side effects I get are mild cramping and super bloated.

My hair and skin have been greasy too! I wonder if it's the progesterone? I was also super bloated when I started on prog. I think it was causing the bloating, but I'm not sure. I do know the hives all over my bum is from the prog. though! I'm on injections and suppositories, but only for another two weeks - yay!
@Leialou: Are you on progesterone to prep for a FET? Hope you've been doing well!

It broke me out badly some cycles and caused a bit of bloating. I think it can also cause constipation, which might be related to the bloating? But the leaking, ugh!

I only took it for about a week with my last pregnancy, so any symptoms I had were attributed to that. The worst was the leaking though! It woke me up every morning around 4:30, without fail. Anyone have a suggestion on how to minimize that?

I had to use it from week 6 to 13 I think? So can't be sure if bloating and breakouts were due to progesterone or the pregnancy. I was really sensitive to the first ones, made me irritated down there. Then they had the compounding pharmacy switch the ingredient and it was better.

I get pregnancy symptoms like bloating, aches, and sore boobs. It really messes with my head since I don't want to symptom spot but it's hard not to.

i've only taken it orally rather than the suppositories, but it made me psycho! i was a lunatic. my face & hair got greasy and i broke out really badly. also, i wanted to sleep 24/7. good times.

I took it orally as well, and it made me super fatigued.

@Mrs.Someone: The leaking wakes me up in the middle of the night too...I used to try to lie there and tough it out but since I had to pee anyway I decided to just get up as soon as I first felt it and wipe everything dry.

Are we talking prometrium/bioidentical progesterone suppositories?
If your putting them in your vag and its too gross and leaky, ask your doc if you can take it rectally. I know it may not be for everyone but its something to consider
When i take it orally it knocks me out and i have crazy vivid dreams! Other than that no adverse side effects. -
I took them orally and was super emotional. I've heard that the oral version has worse side effects, but I don't know if that is true or not.
@mrs. bird: I was a wreck. I read a book at school and started crying and had to tell my kids I was just so sad for the baby hippo. Pretty sure my 2nd graders were about to stage an intervention.

When I was on it I was bitchy. My poor husband. I also felt bloated and gained more weight earlier in my pregnancy than I think I would have had I not been on it.

Am I the only person who has gotten an irritated rash after using it for more than two weeks?
