Okay, a few questions for those who pumped often or EP..
How do you start a freezer stash? I feel like as soon as I freeze some we will be ready for it and have to thaw, how do you get it started??
I'm getting anywhere from 6oz to 10oz per pump session and Jack is eating 2oz per feeding. How much do I keep in the fridge at a time?
I'm going to stop pumping after this month (I really hate it & it's. Causing some resentment bc J refuses to even try to latch) but while I am pumping I want to get as much saved up as possible so he can at least get breast milk for as long as possible without me having to continue pumping.
How do I get this ball rolling? I have probably 40oz in the fridge right now. Do I freeze what he won't eat today? TIA!
I used to keep milk in the fridge for 3-4 days before moving it to the freezer. So pump pump pump and keep it in the fridge, then if you feel like you have enough to feed him for a day or two, start cycling the oldest milk into the freezer.. does that make sense? Like once you hit say 20 oz in the fridge, you know you have enough to feed him for a couple of days, the next 6 oz you pump, you can move the oldest 6 oz into the freezer. That way you're building a stash but always have enough milk in the fridge to feel secure.
