I have no idea if this is standard, but hope it is!

Well my last experience with Kindergarten was when I attended lol. My DD is only a year old. I don't think I received anything like this myself as a kid growing up in Canada. I'd say it probably depends on the school.

Just chiming in as a first time US kindergarten parent-- no school supply list for us! All we have to provide is a set of headphones for when they use the computer (more sanitary for each kid to have their own), a snack, and we have to keep their lunch account at a positive balance if we want them to buy lunch.

@Mamaof2: yup! Edit: not sure if it'll be that way for all grades, but it is for Kindergarten.

A. I can't remember and/or we weren't "privy" to the info from DH's ex, about the boys. However, I just asked my girlfriend who's 2 girls have both gone through the kindergarten year recently/is right now.

She said that yes, they did get welcome packages during their orientation.

B. NEAT, there is a book about my cat.
