Is what you pump on Friday used for Monday's daycare bottles? I know that the guidelines are that refrigerated milk can last for 3 days, but I've also heard from moms who won't use milk after 2 days.

That's what I did. If I wasn't sure about it, I would cycle through it on the weekend and pump fresh milk, but mostly I just saved it for Monday so I didn't have to worry about pumping on the weekend.

I freeze anything left over on Friday and thaw my oldest milk for Monday. The rest of the week I use the previous day's pumped milk.

I froze almost everything and cycled through old milk. She would only get fresh milk from nursing or when I didn't have time to thaw milk.

I used to save Friday's pumping output for Monday but now I do what @mamabolt: does since I had a relatively large frozen stash and needed to cycle through it. I freeze half of Friday's output so that LO gets a mix of frozen/fresh milk for Mondays.

I have a freezer stash that I want to cycle through, so LO gets one fresh and one frozen bottle a day.
I also pump before I go to bed, so LO's Monday bottle is milk from Saturday/Sunday night. All week I'm freezing milk I won't be using for the next day.
Does this make sense?

@SLR: I used Friday's milk for Monday at daycare. Breastmilk can last up to 8 days in the fridge. I don't have a large freezer stash, so I use my freshest milk everyday for the next day. I love not pumping on the weekends.

I use Friday for Monday. Freezer stash isn't huge and i'm dipping into it because DS wants a little more than I typically pump each day.

@SLR: I use my friday pumped milk on saturday, I freeze any milk that I wont use within 2 days. But it all depends on your fridge settings and how often you open it
